We have a townhouse (3 roommates) in south Arlington. Not far from Pentagon City - the metro is walkable but there are also metrobuses coming by frequently. The closest metro lines are blue and yellow. There are two bathrooms and three levels. We have a full kitchen and you're welcome to use our fridge, stove, cookware etc. as long as you help with dish washing and general kitchen cleanup. You are responsible for your own food, but if we cook something for the house you'll be welcome to join us for a few meals and use our seasonings/condiments etc. You would be on the couch - which is really a futon - in the living room. We have a parking space that you can use, if you have a car, if it's free (we currently have a roommate with a car, but he plans on moving out soon). However parking up the street is free as well. It takes about a half hour to get to downtown DC but the two metro lines mean you have a lot of options without having to transfer. We live near several wonderful local ethnic restaurants and walking distance from the bars, shops and restaurants of Pentagon Row and Pentagon City. We have a lot of local flavor nearby, as well. We have no landline phone, just cell phones. However, if we're home you're welcome to use one of our cell phones. We have wireless internet and if you haven't got your own laptop, one of us will let you use ours in the house.
I have a comfortable air mattress available in my 1 bedroom apartment in a high-rise building in Arlington, Virginia (close suburb of Washington, DC). I don't have a spare room, so the mattress would be set up in my living room and may not be private enough for some people. My apartment is in a nice neighborhood, across the street from lots of shops, restaurants, a public park, and public transportation. The apartment is about a 5 minute walk to a station on the metrorail system, and then about a 15 minute ride into the heart of Washington, DC. I am happy to share the occasional evening meal, and you should feel free to use the kitchen while you are here (but if you plan to cook a lot please buy your own food). I also have a cat, who is very shy so you probably won't see him, but it might be a problem if you are allergic. My apartment is in a great location to explore Washington, DC and the surrounding areas.
space for avaiable in a area perfect for 2 backpackers trying to see Washington DC, 2 minute walk to subway station (15-20 minutes to city center), countless bars/ resturants/ clubs with in walking distance, very safe neighborhood, apartment has washer/dryer, pool gym and all that stuff. Have bicycle available and we're just easy going open minded dudes coming from different backgrounds who like to have fun and check out the hospitality club scene. Rules are no smoking indoors and must pay for food/ phone calls. Let me know at least 3-4 days beforehand
Small room with a squishy cloud of a queen bed, shared bathroom down the hall. Full use of kitchen amenities and laundry facilities. 15 minutes from nearest metro stop connecting multiple DC metro lines. Nice suburban neighborhood on the fringes of DC, great restaurants nearby, perfect for biking and walking; lots of activities are very accessible! Closest to Georgetown, D.C... about 10 minutes from Georgetown University.
One couch in the living room. I have one roommate (we both have seperate bedrooms). Small kitchen and bathroom. You're welcome to use both (please bring your own food); just clean up after yourself. :) The apartment is very close to the Metro, several bars (two pubs and one sports bar), convenience store (CVS). We're about a 1.5 miles from Georgetown and the rest of DC is easily accessible on the Metro.
I have nice blow up queen sized mattress. You would have to provide your own food, but now worries with that the restaurants are one block away. Plenty to do, and if youi come on the weekend, I am available to show you around. I would prefer you stay no more than one or two nights. I live one mile from Washington, DC. It is two blocks from the METRO (subway).
We have a one bedroom condominium in a great part of Arlington, VA. There are tons of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Great nightlife, great people, mostly young professionals. We have a couch and room for an air mattress, limited space but what's ours is yours! You can use the kitchen, but ask you provide your own food please.
I've a fairly good sized couch. It's comfortable. You'll have to share a bathroom with me. I'm not messy and pretty organized -- so no slobs allowed! I live in Clarendon and in the middle of everything. I'm two blocks from the metro and walking distance to bars, shopping, and theatre. I love where I live! I know you'll like it too.
Spare couch in a townhouse located right next to the Metro; a great outlet to see DC. I can't offer you a bed room but you could crash on the couch for a night or two while you tour Washington DC! We are very close to shops, bars, public transpertation and restaurants. A very safe neighborhood. Bring your own food!
I have a smallish one bedroom apt., but with a couch that folds out into a single bed. There would also be room for a sleeping bag or two on the floor. I am on a bus line that gets you to a metro stop in about 5 minutes, and from that metro stop it's about 20 minutes to downtown DC.
