A medium sized 3 bedroom house, about 5 mins drive from the centre of town. Close to shops, restarautns, clubs, bars, and transport (there is a bus stop out side our house). Feel free to use the kitchen while you stay but you will have to buy your own food if you are staying for a longer time period. If only a short stay I'm sure we can just help you out, maybe you can just chip in £5 or something. We're pretty easy going :) Ballarat has a few major tourist attractions: Sovereign Hill - a old gold rush theme town where you can pan for gold and all sorts of other 1850's things. Also we have a wildlife park, and Lake Wendouree - which is great for walking around and little cafe's along the way. Funny enough the lake is usually totally dried up in summer due to our drought. Ballarat's a good place to base yourself from if you want to see the countryside, vist a few wineries and such but you'd probably need a car. Public trasport in Ballarat however is great.
A small bedroom with a comfortable double bed in our largish old 1860's home in Ballarat Victoria. We are 2 blocks (ie. walking distance) to the railway station and the CBD. It is a one hour fifteen minute train ride to Ballarat from Melbourne. You are welcome to use our kitchen but buy your own food. Our place would be a good stepping off point if you would like to explore the Goldfields Tourist District including the nationally acclaimed Sovereign Hill and the famous Eureka Stockade. Our city is famous for its heritage streetscapes mostly built in the gold mining boom of the mid to late 19th century. We are both interested in travel and love meeting people and having an opportunity to return some of the hospitality that we have received when we have travelled.
Spare room with comfortable single bed in my double-story Townhouse (Unit). 5 units close-by. 30 mins walk from city or 5 min drive, 10-15 min bus. Bustop at frontdoor. 1.5 Hours from Melbourne (Train leaves every 2 hours daily) Feel free to use kitchen - gas cooking and microwave available, bring own food (close to supermarket - 3 mins walk if you are a very slow walker! hehe). I am travelling around too so there are many months where I may or may not be home to offer accommodation, and I'm moving to Brisbane soon and so will update my profile then. Laundry with washing machine & dryer available.

Small room with brand new bed in our 3 bed house on a half acre block in regional Victoria, we live in a quiet, rural setting. 7 km from the city of Ballarat with connections to Melbourne being approx 90 minutes... We are a young married couple with a very friendly Kelpie puppy that head overseas 2 or 3 times a year, enjoy showing visitors to this fantastic slice of Victoria the beautiful hiking trails and native flora & fauna... Bus stop directly outside the house. Gas BBQ, large, clean kitchen and a vege garden to enjoy culinary adventures...
One small room with single bed and across a hallway one larger room with single bed. Each room could allow a makeshift mattress to be laid out on the floor as well, but I only have the makings of one such extra mattress (by folding up extra bedding etc.) The house is on a fairly noisy arterial road, near a bus stop, about 3 km from the main road in Ballarat. Feel free to use the kitchen including my food, but I'd like you to replace the food you use, or do handyman tasks in lieu of this. A bit of help with housework would keep my goodwill up!

While I can not offer you accomodation in my house (it's a small student house) I can offer you the spare room with a double bed in my parents house, about 15 minutes drive from the city on a small farm. We have sheep, a dog and a cat. It would be best if you had your own car as there is no public transport there. Depending on my schedule and that of my parents, we may be able to show you around town or share a meal with you.
Small room with a double bunks in my 2 bedroom apartment literally in the center of Ballarat (above a bakery). We are very close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport (it's a 2 minute walk to the trainstation to Melbourne. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore Ballarat, Melbourne and Victoria.
