Although only a short (2 min) walk away from the Swiss border - my place is actually in Germany. So anybody staying will have to cross the Swiss/ German border and therefore need either an European passport or schengen visa. The spare bed is actually a sofa bed in the living room of my 1 bedroom flat.Window and door to the roof-terrace.You will need to be fairly independent.Am about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram and a 30 minute walk to the center of bale. There’s a spare bike to borrow as well – so u’d be able to get into town within 5-10 min.I will pick you up from the airport if available to do so. Would love to host a person/couple for a few days (1-7 approx - sorry no longer than a week) as it is always interesting to hear where people have been and where their future trips might take them. Can speak english, german and if pushed basic french, italien. As I do work pretty much 8 to 6 more than happy to give you plenty of advice but you will have to find your own way around, except of course after work and during weekends when I'll usually be happy to give you a tour, or head to the pub! I am generally pretty easy-going but prefer if your reasonably neat.Absolutely no drugs and smoke outside.
Dear traveller, welcome to my home! I have been travelling myself for some time in Europe, South and Central America as well as the US and Canada. I know how difficult it can be to find suitable accomodation and places to go to in a country that does feel somehow strange at first. So don't hesitate and contact me so we can figure out if there is a bed for you at the time requested. I live 15 min by tram away from the Swiss railway station (SBB) and 10 min by car/taxi from the airport Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg. Tourism has already increased since Easyjet have decided to set up another hub in Basel for cheap flights all around Europe. Look forward to meeting you soon. Heiko
Spare fold-down bed in its own room in my apartment located just next to the Rhein river. The bed gets folded up during the day because the room doubles as an office. This also means that it needs to be relatively tidy, although tidy is relative and in the eyes of the beholder. We are about 12 min. walking distance from the old city center and minutes by tram (7 min from the Swiss/French/German railways stations - if good timing to catch the tram or bus). Good location to use as a connecting point to other countries by train. Airport also not too far away - bus/tram). We would share the kitchen (please get your own food) and the bathroom (I've got towels, etc. for you).
our house is located 10 minutes trainride outside of basle We have a large matress and some comfortable couches You can use our free wireless internet We (6 Students 5 men and 1 Women) live together in a old villa we are close to the railway station (6 minutes) and from there you get in 10 minutes to basle Liestal is a nice small town with an old city-centre where you can find everything you need (shops,cinema,mcdonald,museum,...) Surrounded by woods and hills baselland is e perfect place from where you can explore the whole switzerland
Pretty cool people live together in the nicest apartment in the city of Basel.. I have four roommates (three are students, one is also working). By the way, the guys are working, earn the money blabla and the girls study.... yes we love the gender role.. Our couch is standing on the balcony at the moment, which is really nice. Sometimes we sleep there as well. Otherwise, we have lots of cushions and camping mats that can turn the floor into a cozy place. Or a bed in a room is spontaneously free. We don´t have pets, some balcony plants though..
Lovely 2 bedroom appartment with bathroom, kitchen and livingroom in Liestal (small city next to Basel). I am very close to everything - shops, restaurants, station (it's a 10 min ride into the city-centre of Basel), airport Zürich(60 min by car or train).Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here. My place would be a great base to explore interesting cities like Lucerne, Zürich, Berne, Basel or even France or Germany.
Unfortunately I can only offer you a spare mattress which would be in the same room than my bed is. Or if I or my flatmate is away you could even have one of our bedrooms. Of course you would be very welcome to use our kitchen, but you will have to buy your own food.. Public transport is just two minutes away. Although you probably won't even need it, as we live just about 15 min away from the city center.
Hi there... This time I found myself a nice 2,5-room appartment close to the main railwaystation and walking distance to shops and tram. It only takes 10 min. to get down town. I can offer a spare room and shared facilities but you have to buy your own food and drinks. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. Should you be curious, just get in touch and let me know more about you... Safe travels Diana A.
We live in Cork , Ireland and always have a spare single room , sometimes the double room is free too . We live on a prettty good bus route and are only 30 mins from the city by bus . Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore Cork and Ireland if you have a car .
