Meet people prepared to show you the best of Charlottesville, Charlottesville!
My husband and I have room for you in a tiny apartment, with a bed big enough for one person to sleep. Two-room apartment. You sleep in the living room. We are moving out next week to travel, though. I know, sounds crummy, huh? But we do have something good we can offer. After July, I will have room for 1 female in an apartment in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I'd love to accomodate you if you're okay with something very simple. Ponce is beautiful! Happy to host any female traveller after July. Simple 1-room apartment: you can have my bed for the night and I'll take the floor. It would be good if you can speak Spanish as well as English, as my land-lady lives next door and speaks Spanish only. You will need to be quiet, but my place is located close to shopping centers and a little ways from downtown Ponce. It's 8 minutes from the hospital.
There is always an extra comfortable bed available, so we'll do our best to make you happy. Our house is adjacent to the University of Virginia, and close to the rural areas around us. We are surrounded by America's early history, just a couple of miles from Thomas Jefferson's, Monticello and many other historic places. We are also very close to the mountains, if you would enjoy a little hiking. There is much to see. We are about 2 hours south of Washington DC by car, or a short ride by train or bus. Steve works at home and the twins are in graduate school, so we're usually available to show you around. We can host any day of the week, and we have plenty of bedding and everything else you will need.
I am offering a room with a comfortable single bed (& extra mattress)in my small 2 bedroom cottage about 20 miles north of Charlottesville, VA. Situated only 20 minute drive to Skyline drive (the Blue Ridge mountains) and the appalachian trail. We are 2.5 hours south of DC. The airport is a 15 minute drive south as well. Trains are accesible from nearby towns of Charlottesville, Culpeper, and Harrisonburg Virginia. You are free to use the kitchen but will need to provide your own food. I am happy to provide transportation to and from the airport as necessary. But, you will need to rent a car if you want to explore the area. I'll be available after work hours and on weekends.
There's a futon sofa in my living room you're welcome to use. Must like dogs because I have the friendliest dog in the world who loves to talk to people. I'm in the country about 1 mile from Monticello (Jefferson's home) and Ash Lawn (Pres. Monroe's home)and 7 miles from the city of Charlottesville. You'll need transportation. Hitching is against the law. In town there are great restaurants, bars, theatres, museums, art studios, and shopping. The University is here also. All I ask is you clean up after yourself and take care of your own food.
I can offer a comfortable sofa in a small one-bedroom apartment. If the second person is willing to sleep on the floor in the living room, I could accomodate up to two guests. I am just a block away from the University campus, bars, restaurants, etc. It's as central as you can get in this small town:) Guests are welcome to use my kitchen. I prefer female guests, but will consider male guests who have GF references. I don't allow smoking in the apartment, but there is a balcony you can use. No drugs.
I have an apartment very near the university, and we do have a spare couch in the living room. I can provide an additional mattress too. There are nearby restaurants and shopping areas, and plenty of bus stops. Feel free to use the kitchen, though you will have to buy your own food. The kitchen is fully equipped. For traveling around to the nearby Monticello, mountains and wineries, it's definitely easier with a car.
I just moved to Charlottesville to get a masters degree in Architecture. Since I'm new here myself, I don't think I'm quite ready to host anyone. Also, I'm at school around the clock so I wouldn't be a very good tour guide! I would make an exception if someone was coming specifically to visit the Architecture school as a prospective student. Then I would figure it out, happy to offer you a place to stay.
single black female with two beautiful kids 5 years old boy legally blind and 6 month old beautiful littlle girl diagnoised with LCH cancer like cells needing chemotherapy the stress is beyond my control and it is the environment i love my parents but its two much i just need a break till i get all my papers in order. so you want me to house sit minus the fine china and anything breakable great.
Walkout basement level room with 3 beds, a private bath, sitting and game area with TV. House is located on 10 acres less than 3 miles from City and University of Virginia. There is no public transportation available within walking distance of our home so a rental car will be a must. In addition, we have an available guest room on the second floor with a full size bed and bath.
Queen sized pull out bed in the living room. Clean, quiet in nice-ish neighborhood. Smack dab in the middle of C-ville(#1 place to live in the US). Close to many historical sites and (unfortunately) UVA. Good base to explore DC and Richmond. Feel free to use kitchen and bathroom, but buy own groceries, please! Must check with roommate before accepting potentail crashers.
