If we ALL feel comfortable after 1st meeting, we have an open loft room, with a queen bed, if not we have a small camperised van, sleeps 2 comfortably, and have blankets. Or, if you prefer, lots of tent space (1 acre property). We are 10 mins. away from town, on a bus route. The Comox Valley area has so much to offer. There are beautiful beaches, parks, boat launches (if hubby can free some time, might take you fishing if you help a bit with the gas costs for the boat) trails, water-falls, 25 mins. away from the base of Mt.Washington (awesome skiing :-). There are some great restaurants and pubs in the area. I love to cook, but if you don't like the menu, feel free to cook your own food in the van,(we are not vegetarians, and don't want to offend.)
Small guest room with a queen size bed in our comfortable "suburban house" in the centre of the Comox Valley. We are about 5 minutes from the local airport, about 30 minutes drive from the local ski hill (Mt. Washington) which offers great mountain biking in the summer. There are two teenagers who live here, so if you are travelling with kids it's no problem and we have a "play room" that has got extra beds. Our place is a great location from which to explore the northern part of Vancouver Island - we are about 3 hours from Port Hardy at the northern tip, about 3 hours from Tofino and the West Coast Trail, and we are about 1 hour north of Nanaimo which is the closest ferry to the mainland.
A half hour drive/bus from town. On the ocean close to the ferry to lovely Denman and Hornby Islands. I live with my family. Try and stay with Nathan while you're here too. He's a good guy. Don't bother coming in the winter unless you like rain and darkness. Instead, try the summer when there are endless opportunities to camp and swim and tube and actually enjoy this place. Hopefully I will be able to introduce you to my very cool friends and who know's you may be able to stay with them too. there is a bus stop nearby and I also drive so I could probably help you out. I speak English and have varied knowledge of Spanish, German, French, Chinese and Japanese.
We have a spare bedroom downstairs with a double futon. We're walking distance to a cute downtown area and biking distance to pretty well everything in the Comox Valley. There are hiking trails at the end of our block as well as a beautiful swimming river. Mount Washington ski resort is about 35 mins from here. You're welcome to use our kitchen while you're here and we'd probably love to share a meal with you as well! This is an absolutely no smoking property. We have several fur babies as well including dog, cats and rabbit.
Separate room with a foamie on the carpeted floor in a rural area 15 minutes south of Courtenay BC on Vancouver Island. Located 1 block from Georgia Strait. Nice walking areas nearby. Mostly vegetarian household with delicious well water on the property. You are welcome to use the kitchen while you are here and you are expected to both buy your own food and tidy up after yourself. Absolutely no smokers, drugs or excessive alcohol consumption please.
Vancouver Island-Year round: Spare Bedroom in 3 bdrm house, use of kitchen, with own food; condiments & basic staples included, bathroom shared with one other person, also open to trade home/vehicle for home/vehicle. We are 20 minutes from top of Mt. Washington, adjacent to Strathcona Provincial Park and located mid-island, 1 hour from mainland ferry.
small room, use of laundry and cooking facilities, provide own food and clean up after yourself. House has cats and rabbits living there and are the beloved furbabies of their human. No animal or drug abusers allowed. Town is a fair walk away but there is a public transit system close by.
A small room with a small bathroom and shower. Close to town, located in the country at the base of Mnt. Washington. Many animals live here too. No public transportation available near this house. There is a small fridge in the room, but you will have to buy your own food.
Small room in basement with queen size comfortable bed in our very small home (1 bedroom/1 bathroom) on 5 acres apx 25 kms south of Courtenay near Ferry to Denman/Hornby Islands. Beautiful area - skiing Mt Washington apx 30 min car trip - ferry is walking distance away.
