Hi! We (Carie & Joe) are in a northern suburb of Dallas. 1/2 way between downtown Dallas and Denton. Public transportation here is not very efficient but it can be used and get you within two miles of our place. A car rental is recommended because Dallas is very spread out. Parking is free here and mostly free throughout the Dallas area. We have a nice town home next to a public golf course. My fiancÚ and I don't have typical 9-5 schedules. I am a flight attendant and he works in an industry that is open 7 days a week. Therefore; our "weekends" are most always during the week. I like to cook when home and always make too much. The spare bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjoining full bath as well as a closet with some space. You can freely utilize our kitchen and laundry facilities, but please purchase your own food. Spices, evo, and some staples that we have you are welcome to make use of.
We have a queen size bedroom for you and shared bathroom with tub and shower. Shared Kitchen and Tv room. Large backyard deck for sitting. No view. Suburban area, but not "too far" from downtown. Three minute walk to a bus stop and a short drive to the inner city "train" station. We will be happy to take you to the station and pick you up if you want to go downtown. A five minute walk to the grocery store and a few eateries and shops, but need to take bus and "train" to major shopping malls, clubs or sites or fun drinking places..Dallas is a big city that is spread out, so transportation time is relative. We live a five minute car drive to a lake that is pretty for strolls or jogging or biking (White Rock Lake). It is about a 45 minute drive in a car to Fort Worth. There is a train called The Trinty railway Express that goes into Fort Worth.
2 bedroom house in Denton, Texas approximately 60 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth. This is a college town, home to Texas Women's University and my school, University of North Texas. Very close to everything: restaurants, clubs, bars, shopping. I would be more han happy to offer my room for your stay, and Imwould stay in the computer room on the spare bed. My house has a large backyard with a vegetable garden and hammock. There is a large lake nearby with great fishing, hiking, and camping. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen while here, I simply ask that you pitch in for the food. I am also willing to let you use my vehicle at times if you have a proper driver's license. I have a small dog and cat....you will love them. I would also be more than happy to take you out and show you the sights!! Happy travels!
Queen size futon in the library/livingroom of our 3 bedroom apartment. We have bunks in the boys' room that would be available for a couple of kids. We live on the 11th floor of a highrise just north of downtown Dallas. The view from the library/living area is of downtown a mile to the south, and old East Dallas to the East. We live in beautiful Uptown, within blocks of shops, theaters, art galleries, restaurants, light rail, and the historic M-line streetcars. We try to eat at least 1 sit-down family meal a day, to which you are warmly invited. You're also welcome to cook any meals you've bought your own food for. Our building has a pool and fitness center which you are also welcome to use while you're with us This is the perfect, central location to experience everything Dallas has to offer.
My family and I have a two-bedroom apartment just north of Dallas in a town called Frisco. Everything is new and there are mostly upscale residents in this area. We are within walking distance of a mall and plenty of restaurants. I have a wife and a toddler-aged daughter, so unfortunately only women and families will be welcome. The sleep space will be on the floor, buy we keep very clean and no shoes are allowed inside. My wife and I will make up pallets on the floor with pillows and blankets. Our food is your food, so don't worry about that unless you plan on staying more than a couple of nights. In which case it would be nice to have some groceries chipped in for. Altruism is our motto.
Spare bedroom with a King size bed, that many have said that it is like sleeping on a cloud. Access to two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower. My girl friend and I live in Flower Mound, a very nice suburb just a few minutes north of DFW airport, and is convenient to Dallas and Fort Worth; about a 30-minute drive to both. You will probably need a car to get around, although we are about a 15-minute drive from the light-rail system and not aware of any bus or public transportation that can get you there other than a taxi. You could use the kitchen as long as u provide ur own food, other than minor ingredients and seasonings.
Two bedroom studio (two-story) apartment located five minutes east of Dallas, ten minutes from downtown. Very close to downtown, mall, bars, restaurants, etc. Free food (bonus points if you can cook) available and full run of the house. One and a half bathrooms. Your choice of using the futon in the spare room or the couch (which can be pulled out into a bed). NOTE: I have a cat and a ferret! Please do not expect me to cage or close-up either of them. They are sweet and are both kept in my room at night, so they will be no bother while you sleep. My home is open as long as you need it. Digital cable available.
I live in a two-bedroom apartment, about 10 minutes from the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport. Smaller bedroom only has a twin bed, but there are two bathrooms. I am close to shopping and restaurants; it's about a 15 minute drive to downtown Dallas. It's easy to rent a car at the airport and get to my place and then use it to explore the area. There is also public transportation. You're welcome to stay as long as you need to and to use my kitchen, etc. But you will have to buy your own food. Or, how about this? You bring the wine or beer and I'll cook!
Guest bedroom with its own bathroom in a two-bedroom condominium in the Uptown/Oaklawn area of Dallas - a very central and hip location in the city. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Public transportation (buses) are very close by. Of course you can use the kitchen! Chip in for groceries, or just buy your own - whichever you prefer. There is a nice-sized living room with cable t.v. and a DVD player as well. And, there is a small patio as well. I have a washer and dryer that you are welcome to use also.
room with an air mattress in a medium sized 3 bedroom townhouse in the suburb of Irving. We are very close to shops, restaurants and public transport (public transport has a great coverage but it is not very reliable). You can use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food and leave everything how you found it. It is located 5 minutes away from the DFW airport and 15 minutes to the Dallas downtown. It is highly suggested to rent a car when visiting this area, and the bus line is 3 blocks from the house.
