Until such time as I move to a nicer location, I'm located in Dartmouth across the bridge from Halifax. So I always say if you're sudden need or can't find anywhere else, then I have a spare room with klic klac futon, with a soft featherbed on top makes it comfy I'm told. There is some public transportation but eventually goes to about 1 per hour and it might take a few buses to get home later at night. So feel free to use anything, but food would be on your own unless we decided to do some communal meals (I never have much food on hand as I don't cook much anymore). And cleaning up after yourself is always nice. Halifax is a great place to visit, a small big city in the midst of the Maritimes. A good central hub for visiting many other places around as well that you just can't miss :)
Spare bed in a cape cod style house. It would be a pull out double couch in the spare living room. I'm about 20 minutes from the ocean either Halifax harbourfront down town or Lawrencetown beach. Feel free to use the amenities of the house while you're here but you will have to buy your own food / drinks and offer respect and tidyness. My kids and I are pretty relaxed and easy to talk to so your stay will be comfortable.
You can sleep on my couch or on the floor if more than one. Very close to downtown Halifax, just across the harbour, one hour walk, or by bus outside door, or by ferry across the habour within 15-20 walking distance or transfer from bus. Use of kitchen up to you, not usually much in the fridge, might get orientation meal. Will show you around city if timing is right.
I have a 3 bedroom house in Dartmouth area of Nova Scotia. I understand what it is like to spent alot of money on hotels so if I can help someone save a few dollars in any way I will.
Comfortable room in big house. Broadband, HDTV, Lakeview in central Dartmouth. Close to everything as this is a small city. Lots of shopping nearby. 2 washrooms and nice yard.
Room with a comfortable queen-sized bed in a medium sized three bedroom bungalow in the city of Dartmouth, Nova Scota. We are centrally located - close to public transportation and a 20 minute walk from the ferry which crosses the harbour to Halifax. You are most welcome to use the kitchen while here.
Spare Room in a 3 bedroom townhouse a 5 minute walk to a major bus station and mall. We are on the Dartmouth side of Halifax Harbour, and it takes about a 20 minute bus ride to get to downtown Halifax.
