I'm a friendly guy in the Northern Suburbs of Darwin about 12 KM from the CBD. Bus station and main shopping centre around the corner. I have a spare room with a queen size bed. You will need to buy your own food, but you are welcome to use the kitchen and appliances. There's a lovely deck outside and you can lay in the hammock and chill a bit. Gay friendly, but not redneck compatible. If you have moral issues with people being different due to sexuality, race or creed then we probably wouldn't get along. Sorry, but no drunks, druggies or crazy party people. Other than that, just be respectful that you are staying in someone's home and we'll be fine. Happy to show people around if I have the time.
My wife and I have a room with a double bed in suburb of Millner, close to bus route. Feel free to use the laundry and kitchen while you are here, but provide your own food - maybe we'll have a cook up together. Stays for 3 day stay initially (longer if we feel comfortable with you) and clean up after yourselves. We have 2 early-20's young men living with us (one son, and youngest son's friend who boards with us), a lovely dog and the best cat in the world. Darwin is small, and we are 10 minutes from city centre and 10 minutes from the biggest and main shopping centre. there is a bus stop just round the corner.
I have both a double bed in the spare bedroom and also a couch in the living area. You are also welcome to sleep on the floor and you will require to have a swag or a mattress of some form. I am located appropriately 11 km of Darwin in the Northern suburb. I live near the airport and there is a bus service that past at the end of the road. The bus services both the city and the main local shopping area. I live close to a shopping centre and the bench is not far from where I am. You will feel welcome in my house and all I expect is that you will treat it as your house.
Small room, wardrobobe space, airconditioned in small open plan, 2 bedroom unit with small tropical garden, in lovely neat, complex of 9 units. Shared bathroom. Very close to everything - public bus transport(3 mins walk); shops, adjacent to Darwin Golf Course (for the golf enthusists),7 mins to Darwin International Airport and hospital; 15 - 20 mins from Darwin city - pubs, restaurants, waterfront, tourist information and activities. Able to use kitchen during stay but need to buy own food. Great location to explore Darwin and beyond.
We live in a motorhome. You will have the choice of a small double bed inside with us or a camp mattress outside. We are 30 minutes out of Darwin on a large open property with mango trees for shade (which bear fruit in October) We are able to drive you into town or lend you the small Mazda for short trips. It is always about 32 degrees C and hardly ever rains between April and September, can get to 19 degrees overnight. If you enjoy nature and peaceful surroundings this is a good place.
I live in a top floor 3 bedroom apartment suite 2 minutes drive from the city. There are no spare bedrooms but we have a huge loungeroom and Im sure we can arrange either a spare matress, a blow up bed or a swag to be layed out. Only problem is its security access and I will have to be around to let anyone in/out. Big kitchen, washing facilities(including laundromat 1 minute walk away), and a pool in the complex.
Small room with a comfortable single bed in my medium sized 3 bedroom townhouse in the suburb of Richmond. We are very close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport (it's a 7 minute tram or train ride into the city-centre). Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore both Melbourne and Victoria.
Spare room for inflatable matress on floor or fold out sofa, or alternatively you can stay on the Couch/well actually Bean bags. Im very close to the CBD and and my apartment has all mod-cons and two bathrooms. Large TV for watching extensive DVD collection if your that way inclined. Complex has two swimming pools and a tennis court. I also have spare car space for vehicle/motorbike/ pogo stick etc.
My wife and i have 2 spare rooms with a new queen size bed in one and a single in the other in our massive 3 bedroom house. 10 dollar taxi ride to the city centre, but close to the Beach, parks and shopping centers. Undercover parking, friendly boxer dogs and enough room to have fun at home. We also have a pool. We are always active with sports and work but enjoy having guests.
I have a spare room with a matress on the floor. I have a 3 bedroom house with 1 bathroom and 2 toilets laundry facilities etc. We live about 15klm from Darwin city itself but there is public transport available close by. We are close to shops, pubs, general attractions. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food.
