We are a family living in a 4 bedroom house. Usually the spare room is available (double futon). You can also always sleep on the couch, or floor (we have airbeds to build a comfy floor nest if there are other guests or you are part of a larger group.) Full kitchen with priveledges, shared bathroom. Fenced back yard (can put up tents if you would like). No smoking in the house, but back porch ok. We have a very old, very nice dog. League City (and america in General outside of the big cities) has very little public transportation (none readily available from our house). League City is a suburb of Houston. About 30 minutes to downtown if there is not traffic, an hour+ during rush hour. We aren't far (10 minutes) from the NASA Johnson Space Center. 30 minutes to Galveston Beach (not a great beach). We have a high speed internet connection available for your use as well. Easy access to interstate 45
Hello, I just found out about this site. I am moving from Detroit tomorrow where I used to run a literary series. I have a lease starting on Sept 1 but need to be in NY for a job I am moving for. I am hoping to find a couch or room for a few days at time (or ideally the two weeks). I can start the job due to start on the 20th. I'll stay in a hostel but someone can accommodate me the next two weeks. I understand this is big a big ask. Let me know whether this is possible. Thanks for considering. Best, Stephanie firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a spare bedroom or couch. We live in a 3bd.rm 1200 sq.ft. house, 1 bathroom. We are located approximately 1/4 mile from the Ambassador Bridge,2 miles from Downtown Detroit. The house was built probably around 1950,nothing fancy, just a typrical working-class home.We do try to keep it relatively clean. We have internet access, cable tvs.We are less then 5 miles from Det.Tiger stadium.Det.Lions stadium,3 Major Casinos,Greek Town,Greenfield village/Henry Ford Musuem. Were about 15-18 miles from DTW-Metro Detroit Airport.
This is at my parents house. We will see where I'll be when I get back from my 8 month trip. My parents would be happy to host someone while I am gone. Since I travel often they understand what a traveler looks for and how appreciative they are for a free place to stay. My sister and or brother are usually around too. They would be fun to stay with and have good ideas of what to do. It is in a good neighborhood close to detroit, canada, and many other busy areas. Only no smoking, drugs, etc...
I currently rent a small 2 bedroom apartment in Detroit, MI. Quote building in pretty safe area of West Village. 1 block from Indian Village. I have a small second room that I use for storage. Have surprisingly comfy queen size blow up bed. Actually more comfy than my double bed. Have lots of towels, linens and toiletries. If you are a great, nice, honest person, come stay! I am a health care resident, work a lot for very little money lol
Small room with double bed. Home is in Ferndale a suburb of Detroit. Easy access to downtown Detroit or other suburbs. Great location if in Michigan for the International Auto Show in January of each year. Or how about the Woodward Dream Cruise held in August of each year. A special treat for a car buff. Kitchen available for your use, but I do request that you supply your own food (grocery store is only 2 blocks from house) and clean up.
Unfortunately I have recently moved and am not able to offer accomodation myself, unless you want to pitch a tent in the yard. However, I may be able to find room at a friend's house for you if need be. I live in Westland, about 20 min west of Detroit and 5 min from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), and have friends all throughout the metro-Detroit area. If nothing else, schedule permitting, I can show you around or give you some advise of what to do.
We're still rearranging everything, but I live in a 4 bedroom townhouse in Midtown Detroit, close to Wayne State University. We are walking distance to some good bars and live music venues, though there isn't much shopping so to speak of in the area. We've got a fully-functional kitchen and like to have as many meals together as possible. Be warned: we keep then heat pretty low in the winter, so bring warm gear!
Several couches and futons, and occasionally a bed. Always plenty of tent space! Close to downtown Detroit, on Wanye State University campus. Bars, cafes, restaraunts, libraries all within walking distance. We live in a 6 bedroom house built in 1890 with 3 bathrooms and a kitchen that is free to use. You may wish to shop for your own groceries, but we always have enough to share with the intrepid adventurer.
I live on an university campus and live in the dorm rooms. I have a futon which pulls out into a bed which you can stay on. living in Detroit is a little culture within itself, it was so different from my home town, staying with me you could experience the life of a college student in the USA and see how this little micro culture operates as college campus life is much different than any other aspect of life.
