Meet people prepared to show you the best of Dortmund!
I can offer a couch in a common room, and sheets and towels, if needed. At night you can shut the door to get some privacy. (A second person may sleep on the couch only if you are very close ;-) Or you may use another couch in the living room/kitchen with less privacy, or sleep on the floor.) At the end of the street you come upon the new Dortmund landmark, a tower building with a big U on top of it. Originally a brewery it has been rebuilt to a cultural center. Besides its interesting architecture you will find there under more a distinguished museum of modern art, an exhibition center of media art and on top a cafe / restaurant / bar with a view of Dortmund city and around. The "Kreuzviertel", a lively quarter with quite some pubs, is close-by as well. If you know where to go, it's a 15 minutes walk from the main station, but it's easily accessible by public transport as well. The metro and "S-Bahn" station "Möllerbrücke" is nearby. I like to know about you before hosting, so I'll appreciate a previous email contact... Dortmund is a town in the Ruhr area: more detailed but in German and to know about the actual events
Apartment with three rooms. Large enough to host one or two people, of course also me. The flat is located in the centre of dortmund and so shops, pubs, bars, restaurants, discos are easy to reach by foot. However Dortmund is fully conected by highways which leed to all main destinations in German, also by Train, and an international airport.Despite of the fact that Dortmund is one of the most crowded cities of the ruhr area, its surrounded by really nice country places, which invite for a nice walk, or a trip by bike. Dortmund is famous for many nice disco clubs, like the zu house club. Dortmund has also to offer cultural places, not at least because of its former history as an industrial city. Last but not least Dortmund is also not far from the Netherlands, and due to this its easy to make a trip there, or even to Cologne in Germany, which is also quite famous. The amount of stay should normaly not more than 2 days, however it can also be more, but it should be communicated. Smoking is permitted in one room, as long as it doesnt gets the flair of a pub. During the week i am busy because of work, the best time to catch me is at the weekend.
Can offer a comfy couch in the livingroom of my appartment. There is enough room for a second traveller if willing to sleep on an air mattress. Feel free to use the kitchen but you'll have to provide your own food. I like to cook so the chance to get a shared meal is quite good. Non smokers please. The appartment is in the northern part of the city of Dortmund. Approx 15 min from the center.
I live in an small flat in the southern parts of Dortmund, near the University. The couch is in my living room. It's suitable for 2 persons (you can change it to an small double bed). You can catch bus or H-Bahn stations by a few min walk. The best time for me is in the weekends, but maybe always there are some exceptions. I have enough blankets for 2 or 3 persons.
I can offer you the couch in the living room of my 3 bedroom apartment in the middle of Dortmund. The flat itself is close to the sub station and various supermarkets. Nearby is a small park and you can get to the city within 20 minutes walking. Feel free to use the kitchen to prepare your own bought stuff or hang around at the balcony.
Mattress and/or couches in a house in a suburb of Dortmund. We are very close to shops, pizzeria, restaurants and public transport(it's about 20 minute bus and metro). Our place would be a great base to explore the "Ruhrgebiet". Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food.
I'm offering a Mattress in a medium sized 2 bedroom townhouse right in the centre of Dortmund. We're 2 guys (23 and 25) living in this flat while we're both studying. You can use the kitchen and if I've time I could offer to show u what ever u want to experience in Dortmund or the Ruhr area while u stay here.
Sorry, i can't provide any space at this point of time. I'm actually moving in September to a lot bigger flat. But i can show you my Town, Dortmund. It looks like an old-industrial town to most people, but i can hook you up with what is going on in today's scene( music, arts, underground....)
I live in a big appartment with a guy doing Phd. It has ample space for extra mattresses which i also have. It is just next to railway and bus station connecting city center in 5 mins. Food is not a problem as i love cooking so you can have as long as you appreciate my cooking(bit spicy though)
I have a spare mattress which is located in my living room so you sort of have your own room. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a huge kitchen. (Perfect for kitchen parties...) There's a bus and a tram station directly infront of the house. It only takes 10 minutes to the city centre!
