I share a two bedroom, one bath townhouse with my mother a few minutes drive from downtown Dover and downtown Durham. I have a lovely twin mattress that lives under my bed [my cousin uses when she sleeps over] at your service - if you dont mind sleeping on the floor of my room. You are welcome to use the kitchen, and we'll clear a space in our fridge for your food. I have a computer with dial up internet access in my room that you'll be welcome to use, just no porno please :-p along with tv with basic cable. The only time i spend in my room is at night so it'll sort of be like having your own room :) There is a public bus run by a local college that has a stop at the end of our street, which runs frequently between sept-mid may and has two runs daily may-aug. The college bus goes to downtown Dover, Durham, Newington, and Portsmouth. Another bus line has a stop about 15 minutes walk away that goes around Dover, Rochester, Somersworth Newington, Portsmouth, Farmington, Greenland and Exeter. The two bus lines connect in Dover, Newington, and Portsmouth. The is an Amtrak station downtown which the busses stop at. The amtrak goes north to Portland, Maine and south to Boston, Massachusetts among other places. There are two malls on the bus line with stores like sears jcpenny, macys, filenes, ambercrombie, gap, aeropostale, american eagle, bath and body works, lane bryant, footlocker. There is a movie theatre downtown, and 3 others within 20 minutes drive. All serviced by the bus. Many stores, fast food, convienences nearby. We're about an hour from Boston.
We have a queen size pull-out sofa bed in our living room. Our house is centrally located in downtown Dover; close to a lot. It is about a 1 hour trip to Boston MA, a 1 hour trip to the White Mountains, and a 3 hour trip to New York. Dover is filled with fantastic culture and New Hampshire is alive breath-taking beauty and lots to do. We have an Amtrack train station about 5 minutes walking distance from our house that will take you to Boston for around $15 and an extreamly cheap ($0.50) bus system (Coast Bus and Wildcat Transit) that travel in about a 20 mile radius of Dover. Feel free to use all of our facilities however as we are not the richest family, if you could buy your own food or contribute to the cost of food, it would be greatly appreciated.
We have two couches, one with a pull-out mattress and I am also willing to give up my own bed if needed. The pull-out is quite comfy and in the living room where you will have a TV and close to the kitchen. We live in a 3 bedroom Victorian half (we own half of the building, and my grandmother has the other half, but downstairs). We are a 5 minute walk from downtown Dover where there are many shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute drive to Portsmouth and close by cities. Also only 45 minutes from Boston, where we have a train/bus station that can take you there for a resonable price.
Located 60 Minutes north of Boston, MA., and 50 minutes south of Portland ME. Dover is 15 miles from the Ocean, and is next to Portsmouth NH. There daily are buses and trains from Dover to Boston and Portland. My home is in a quiet family neighborhood. It is a 3 bedroom cape on .33 acres. I have 2 baths, and a full applianced kitchen.
small guest room with double bed.. we are a small New England town.. lots of eatery shops and bars...downtown is half an hour walk...lots of snow in winter, awesome colors in the fall, plesant, not too hot summers... Kitchen is small, but we love to learn new food options and try out new recipes.
small apartment.. couch is open, but in the middle of the room, so the hours for sleeping will have to be normal (after midnight/before 7).. Town is small, bus runs just outside apartment complex..so walking to items of interest are easy.
we got a couch/futon in a spare room. use the kitchen buy your food. 2 minute walk to downton and train.
Spare room in small apartment, share bathroom and kitchen.
