My wife and I have a two bedroom apartment in student housing with the University of Oregon. We have one bathroom and a full kitchen with extra fridge space. It is a quiet location but within 10 minutes walking of downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon, as well as being connected to Lane County by several bus routes. A vast variety of grocery stores are within 1o minutes walk, as is the farmers market during summer. Eugene is a nice stop along the Pacific coast of the United States. It's the place to visit if you are interested in attenting school at the University of Oregon. It is the place to be for aging hippies, eco activists, and for folks attending the Oregon Country Fair, on eof America's last feel good hippie gatherings.
We have two medium sized guest rooms each with confortable double beds, closets and dressers. Our home is 1560 square foot with 3 bedroom 2 baths. The master suite and bath are located on the other side of the house from the guest rooms so privacy is a perk! We back up to the neighborhood park that has great running trail and basketball court. We are close to the bus stop and only 15 minutes away from downtown. You are welcome to use the kitchen but you will have to buy your own food depending on the length of your stay! We always enjoy sharing a homecooked meal on us to get to know you if you are so inclined. We are located only 45 minutes away from the beach and 2 hours away from Portland both accessable by bus.
My current house has a few couches and a pull-out futon for guests to sleep on. Floors are wood, but feel free to sleep on them if you are traveling with multiple people. Welcome to use the kitchen as long as you bring your own food (grocery store is only a few blocks away). Have a few roommates - all interesting and easy going and like to meet new people from wherever. We don't take ourselves too seriously and enjoy a good time, going out and partying, or having a barbeque outside if the weather is nice. Length of stay depends on our schedules, but feel free to ask. A couple days shouldn't usually be a problem. Location is a few blocks from campus (bars and food), and a 10 minute walk from downtown.
Guest room upstairs with a new-comfortable sofa sleeper, TV. Share full bath with our son, (born in 1989), if he's not off at college. You would of course, clean up after yourselves, buy you own food and other necessities. We live on a residential street in a 3 bedroom house. Close to river and bike trail. 2 hours from snow skiing or the Pacific coast. You could use one great ladies bike and we have a few old rickety men's bikes (the ones the bike thieves left last year). Sorry, absolutely no smokers please. Not even outside. We both work during the week, but can offer a place to land and advice. We do have wireless for computer.
Me and my roomie have a good sized apartment with a couch you can lounge on... we have a spare room but no bed... so you could crash on the floor if you needed. I live on the bus route and am about 5 mins from downtown. Best bike paths in oregon too. Kitchen is for you to use. Must get your own food... supermarket is right down the road. Clean as you go and all will be fine. Washer and dryer too... Great place to be... 1 hour from the coast.. 1 hour from the mountains for some snowboarding. If you like hiking or camping its a great place to be... Both of us are easygoing and like to hang out.
College town, college house, I have many couches, loveseats, futons and airmattresses that can easily be made into a comfortable place to sleep. This is a three bedroom house with one full bath shared by three college students. Walkable distance from small markets and the University of Oregon, downtown is only a five minute car ride or a ten minute bike ride. Can explore the whole town by foot from our house if the weather is nice. Two diffrent buttes with nice views, and a river runing through town creates a very unique atmosphere. Can visit portland easily by bus, or the oregon coast.
Gateway to the great outdoors of the Northwest. One hour to the coast, 45 minute drive to Willamette Pass for skiing, or in warmer months, camping fishing, hiking. Head east from Eugene up the beautiful McKenzie Hwy. Play golf at the reknowned Tokatee Golf Course, or drive futher to Sisters or Bend for great golf, fishing, hiking camping. Eugene is a hip, college town home to the University of Oregon Ducks. Lots of great restaurants, parks, close in great hikes. The air is clean and the people nice. Lots of hippies make up the home-grownness of the community. Peace.
You would sleep in my bed, and I would take the couch, as I still live at home with my mother. We live about 15 minutes by bus from downtown/campus-y area. Would be interested in taking you around, but I work 'regular' hours, as does my mother, and older sister. It's a bit cramped, but it's my home. There's a kitchen, bathroom, etc. Please use them. We certainly aren't a party house, so, um, do that somewhere else. Not a ton of privacy, but again, feel free to use the bathroom. Be willing to buy most of your own food, we're all a bit picky.
(we are taking a break for more couple time- try us in the summer!) We are a couple whose three grown boys (and we) love to travel internationally. We live our busy lives in a big old home near downtown Eugene. We are used to young people in quantity. We have room for tents in the big back yard, or use a now-empty bedroom. Kitchen is available and loves to be cooked (and cleaned up!) in. Eugene is an hour by car to the ocean and the mountains. Home is close to public transportation.
