Meet people prepared to show you the best of Gent!
Hi there, I am renting a big room and my home renter (is also living in this house) having a 2 years old baby girl. The baby stays here 4-5 days in a week. So it’s possible to use the sofa (living room) after 8pm (the baby goes to sleep) or after 11pm (the owner goes to sleep) or I would also be able to share my big space window room, flexibly, depending upon your situation/plan for the next day. Since there is a baby we always try to maintain the rooms warm. So if you bring a simple blanket is enough, but having sleeping bag is not a bad idea too! -My residency is approximately 1-2 kilometres from the main city centre, which can be reachable either by simple (relaxed) walk (because the walking lines are quiet calm and nice...) or by bus, - Since baby is living here, it won’t be comfortable if you smoke inside the living room. But you’re very welcome to smoke in our garden, - Personally I likes to maintain clean and hygiene ambiance. So I would appreciate if you could show these habits while you’re staying here..., - My part time job is working in a French Italian restaurant as a cook. So it’s not at all problem for me to cook for you for dinners until the period you stay (its pleasure to cook...! :)) but it would be comfortable if you could bring your own foods for other timings. Other than the part time works I would be happy to be your guide to help you to explore Gent or nearby cities in Belgium. Since explored the entire Belgium by bicycle for around 9.5 days during the last Easter period as well as having the amateur hobby of photography (http://www.flickr.com/photos/biolife08 ), hope I could be your free good guide :)!!! If you’re a sporty person then I could able to give company for running, cycling or squash (my favourite). Alternatively I would be really happy to learn new sports if you likes to do others. We have a big sport centre in the city where we could able to reserve any kind of hall to play (we need to pay little money but its worth for the timing and the locations!).
Oi ...! The home is totally occupied by 3 persons, including me. Every one of is in their final studies as well as doing nicest student works (one person is doing training in film industry, another is in a hospital and me is doing my student job in a French and an Italian restaurant while doing school things at the hospital …) It’s possible to stay in the sofa of the living room but I would kindly ask you to bring either your sleeping bag or blanket (since out living room is a kind of closed comfort shape, there won’t be any cold ambiance so blanket is more than enough!). Our house is located in the middle of the town so it’s easier to see and visit around, including for shopping ;)!!, Additional details: - I would appreciate if you maintain the hygiene ambiance which we’re (trying out best to ) doing now, -I would also appreciate if you really express your energetic side or even more it’s would be greater if you’re an hyper active person. The simplest situation is that it would be good feeling for me to show you around the city as well as the neighbour village if you’re an active person who can drive bi cycle or able to walk for number of kilometres (if you can’t able to use the bi-cycle). It’s really doesn’t matter you’re age or I don’t have any formal, other stupid rules!! - although I can able to cook and or make new food for you, but I or we would be comfortable if you try to bring your own foods,
Hey there ladies and gentlemen :)! -I’m a science student, and am not a rocket scientist, but I know how to use an electronic screwdriver and recharge the light as well as know how to do all types/level of massages, - Basically I was born in Madagascar but moved into and became as an Asian citizen through Sri-Lanka, -I am an open minded guy, flexible, friendly (and am not a gay) and enjoy to meet new people, non-smoker (but won’t problem if you’re a smoker) , used to do number of sports as well as experimentation with cuisine (having an own web blog, for an example), indoor and outdoor gardening, dances (classic Ballet and modern dance, recently), social and science issues, museum and music, etc, So I could able to give you company if any of these interested, during your stay...
We have a large appartement in the historical centre of Gent, looking out upon the cathedral and other churches. Our appartement is on the top floor and lies next to the water. The total area covers more than 100 square metres. Since there is only one separate room, we can give you but a spare bed. Though the piece is very spacious. It's the attic of an old building. There is a kitchen and bathroom with shower and bath. There is close acces to everything cause it's truly within the city. If you're planning to visit other cities in Belgium, no worries it's a small country. The distance to Brussels and Antwerp is both around 40 km from Gent.
Me and my boyfriend Jeroen and our little babygirl live in a house in a nearby district of the city of Ghent. We moved here because it is quiet and you can hear the birds singing in the garden. Much unlike the noisy city center. We grow some of our own vegetables. Our house is not that big but comfortable enough to host some more people. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a livingroom with tv, there's internet, bath and shower. It would be a pleasure for me to guide you around in the city and to show you its most interesting places, musea, monuments, bars, restaurants etc.. You can use our bikes if you want to.
hi, I share a house with four housemates not so far(10 min walk)from the centre of Gent. We have a spare room available. The house is very close to the trainstation Gent-Dampoort and different shops.Public transport is also not a problem and on walkingdisteance. If you planning on going to Gent, you should really come during the "Gentse Feesten". This is a ten days feast in the second week of July in the centre of Gent that lasts until the morning. With free gigs on different places in the centre. If you don't like crowds it's better that you evoid this period. There are direct trains to Antwerp, Brussels, Brugge,...
Spacious attic with double air mattress in the medium sized 2 bedroom house just outside the city centre of Gent. We also have a garden where you are welcome to put up your tent. We are very close to stores and restaurants. We have an Italian ice cream shop just down the street, which is absolute bliss. Public transport is very near too: - tram to city centre ( 2 min. walk) - train station ( 10 min.walk) You can use the kitchen while you are staying with us, but will have to pay for your own food. If you wish to visit other cities: Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp are only a train ride away.
The house is situated in Gent, a medieval town in Flanders, Belgium. Very close to all shops, pubs and restaurants. Gent is situated at 32,5 hours drive from Paris, France, 50 minutes from Brussels and Antwerp, 2 hours drive from Amsterdam, Holland and 2,5 hoirs from London, England. There are 4 bedrooms in the house, one bathroom, living romm, kitchen.. A garden is situated at the back of the house, completely walled, which gives complete privacy... The trainstation is at about 10 minutes walk, there you can take the high-speed trains to Paris or London, or many other destinations
hey! we live with 2 in a house and most of the time one of us is away. In the rooms there is a single bed but there's alwasy an extra 'matrass' if u want to stay with more. If where both at home there s a livingroom you can chair? with our lazy dog. The house is located in the multicultural neighborehood of Gent. Not much nature but still quiet and easy living. It is only a 10minutes walk from the center... and for the lazy people there s a tram and busstop in 200meter. Station Dampoort is only 15minutes away by foot. It 's no problem if u want to use the kitchen, it is small but ok ;)
comfortable room with view on garden , no private bathroom... 10km from centre of Ghent. public transport approx 15 minutes , trainstation 10 minutes on foot with connection to all main stations. Downtown there are alot of pubs and restaurants ( www.ghent.be ). Ghent is a medieval city with alot of culture. One of the biggest university-cities with more than 50.000 students ( ideal for weekly nightlife ! ). My wife and I however , decide individually who we allow...we have very busy daily activities..so... Anyway..Ghent is a very interesting place to visit
