Meet people prepared to show you the best of Ghent!
you can stay at my place, it's a 2 minute walk from the historical centre, i have a small apartment but i have a kitchen, bedroom, livingroom, bathroom, and a storage room. Public transport is great in Ghent, it's a very historical place, if you want to i'll show you the museums/castle/nightlife/and various other typical belgian stuff. Ghent is a great city with alot of Art and music diversity, If you come between the 16th and the 25th of July you can experience the one and only "Gentse Feesten". The "Gentse Feesten" is translated to: "the parties of Ghent" that's when on every corner of a street you have some kind of entertainer, alot of shops and at nighttime alot of free concerts and it's really like one big summerparty. Every person in Ghent looks forward to this time of year. I'm straight but i have nothing against gay/lesbian or bi people, my mother is a lesbian and i'm very open-minded towards other religions/ethnicities/sexual preferences, Feel free to smoke at my place, but you'll have to buy your own sigarettes (same for food :-) ). I can't pick you up at the airport, but there is a trainstation near the airport wich has a train that goes directly to Ghent, I can pick you up at the trainstation.
I have a small room really close to downtown ghent. The room is in a nice building with other student rooms. It's a student room so don't expect much. I have a sleeping bag and mat you can use if you want. The room isn't big enough to host more than two guests... I also have my own shower and kitchen which you can use of course. There's a big warehouse around the corner and it's a 1 minute walk from the closest tram station. You can take the tram to go downtown although you can walk too. The trainstation is 4 or 5 tramstops away. Trains are really great in belgium and cheap. You can use them to explore the rest of the country. I might also have a spare bike for you to use ;)
a room( I'm still a student) with a very good bed;)- maybe you'll have to share the room with me sometimes...kitchen utilities in the room, toilet&shower on the hallway, 6 other students in the building, living in the city-centre wich is a big advantage because Ghent is alive!!!you'll have to buy your own food. I can be your guide through the city but keep in mind that I still go to school...but there is also an other option. My friend who's living next door has a house and she also wouldnt mind to receive guests, because it's with her that I travel...she's not available at the moment to put more info on this website!
small room with a single bed in a house near the centre of ghent. If you walk out the door, there is a busstop right in front of you, and other public transport is very close too. Nearby a well-known park (not even a 5 minutes walk), shops, historical centre (20 minutes walk), rastaurants,... Also very close to the Overpoort, a famous street with lots of pubs where students go out and drink each day of the week, usually it's more quite ther in weekends. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food.
comfortable cosy room with double bed, (eventually a separate matrass if you are not that close with your travel partner) located conventiently at the border of the city of Ghent. A 10 minute walk from ghent's famous nightlife ! a 20 minute walk from the historical centre. public transport in front of the house. small garden which can be used for barbecue & stuff. wireless internet we make good and healthy food, expect some good wine with it. join us at the table, or ask us for a cool restaurant.
Hi! We are a young couple living together. everyone is welcome to stay with us. we're not the richest people but everyone is always welcome to stay over, we're kind, outgoing and open-minded. Feel free to use the kitchen but if you're planning to stay longer than 3 or 4 day's you'll need to chip in with the food :-) since we're going to move to another appartment i'm not really sure if it's going to be a couch or a bed, (haven't decided on appartment yet) .
2 mattresses for 2 friends or couple travelling together. no spare room but some space in the living room. you're free to use kitchen, bathroom and computer with internet. we have a small ground floor appartement with a nice garden about 25 min's walk from the centre of Gent. the busstop is about 2 minutes by foot and the bus will take you to the centre in about 10 minutes and to the two railway stations in about 15 minutes.
Air mattress in the kitchen or living room (will have to be put up during the day). My apt. is in the citycenter so walking or biking will get you anywhere. If you don't like the exercise you can always take public transport which is very well organised in our city, e.g. it's a 12 minute tram ride from my apt. to the train station. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food.
we have a living room with a double bed. with sheets and blankets. . we live with four people in our house. you can use our kitchen during the day, and in the morning there is coffee. we have place for 1 till 8 people, the most comfort is with 5 people. The trainstation is 9 minutes walking. You have a bus and tram to the center and train station. You can eat with us for a little price. we can show you ghent.
Large garden with space for two tents. My village is a 45 minutes drive from Ghent and Bruges (by bus). You can also go by train if you first take a bus to the station. That's a 20 minutes drive in total. You can use the kitchen if you buy your own food (there are shops in the neighborhood). The village (Ursel) is very small but natural, there are woods, fields and there are many bikers and wanderers.
