Queen sized bed and shared bathroom on third floor. Shared kitchen. Close to everything in Tay Ho, the safest and most expat-friendly neighborhood in Hanoi. The kitchen is free for your use, but you must cook only vegan there. The house is an animal shelter but we have not moved in completely yet, so there are only 5 out of our 39 animals that will be coming up a few at a time for adoption and vet treatment. The dogs will be downstairs and the cats have their own rooms, so you will need to be really comfortable around animals and understand our very serious security measures to protect the animals in a country unsafe for cats and dogs.
Newish (2002) 11-story apartment building in an area on the 'far' southern edge of the city, 14km from the city center. The place is nice, sturdy, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 floors up, no A/C (floor fans). Very secure. Relatively rich to really rich people live here. Almost no foreigners. I'm mayve the only white guy. Water always works, electricity almost always. Nice area to walk around the area because it clean, quiet and hasstle-free, but it is all new and 'boring'. The action is a US$.20 bus ride away. The bus stop is about 100 meters away, end/start of the line. Easy to get back because it is the last stop.
In a small international youth center (small but nice house), close to west lake and a nice open air swimming pool (summer only). If our international volunteers are not there, you can share one room (dormitory). We ll ask you only, to make a small donation to our youth organization (for example 5$ by day). We have hot shower, washing machine, kitchen and fridge. We ll be very happy if possible to help you to enjoy your stay in Hanoi. Please contact the director of the international youth house to know if there is a free place: Miss Phuc : email@example.com

Small room with fan/air-condition. The place is in one of the three biggest districts in Hanoi and only takes 10 mins to ride to the Old Quarters. No alcohol and smoking allowed in the house. There is also a big yard in front of the house and super markets/swimming pool/ park/ theater... nearby. You are allowed to use the kitchen but you have to buy your own food or we might supply you local dishes at a reasonable price.

It's also next to a Shop, restaurant and stuffs. It takes 15 mins to go to Old squares (City center) by bus or motorbike. Kitchen: We have got a rice cooker and an electronic span and cook. You know - for male: simple is the best!
Small room with a comfortable double bed. My house is closed to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport (it takes about 10 minute bus ride into the city-heart, it takes 3 mins on foot from my house to the nearest bus station). Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore Hanoi.
I have 2 spares room with a comfortable double bed. The house is close to everything - shopping mall, restaurants, cafe shops, and public transports (5 mín walk to bus stops taking you directly to city centre, which is 5 km away). Feel free use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. I also have a brand new bike you can use for free.
I'm living in a small rental room in a small house but just by the old quarter of Hanoi. No kitchen or so but I do have a small bathroom with shower. Very convenient to eat local and walk right to the old quarter. I don't have a spare bed for you but my mattress is quite big. But I work all day long so you have to be a very independent female to stay with me.
