For now I just have a full size couch and floor space in my small efficiency appartment. We are in the process of finding a house (me and my future spouse), when we do find a house there will be better accomodations (like a spare room and bed). I will cook you dinner and breakfast. Lunch is on your own. Nothing fancy, just a meal by what my fiance calls a "great cook". I am literally five minutes away from downtown, fifteen from the beach via driving a car. It's farther if you are walking. I live in historic Riverside/Avondale area. Beautiful houses and a short walk to the river. I'm near historic Five corners which has tons of resteraunts, pubs, etc. When we are not there, we prefer you not be there as well. I'll be a homemaker, so that shouldn't be a problem in a few months. :)
I have a nice new comfy couch. Also have camping gear for responsible people. Jacksonville is the largest city in the US mileage wise. You can drive an hour and still be in the same city. I'm on a slow side of town. There is a bus within 2 minutes walk, but I don't know much about the local transportation. May be able to show you around. I have a dog, cats, snake and a bird. We have a kitchen and you are free to use it provided you buy your own food, as long as you clean up after yourself. Prefer generally clean people. No smoking in the house. We drink only in social situations.
we have a couple of small couches and floor space available for two visitors maximum. located on a university campus, a bike ride to shopping area and a bus or bike ride away from the downtown/riverside area and the beach. we have a kitchen, bathroom, and access to the campus laundromat ($1.50 will get you a wash and dry!)...you can use our kitchen things, but please ask and please provide your own food. i only ask that you leave the place as you found it! we are 4 students in the apartment-style dorm so we are out and about a lot of the time.
Spare room with a comfortable, private bed for 2-3 guests in our lovely FL style home. We have a pool and live on the water with a lovely view. We are 20 minutes to the beach, 25 minutes to the historic city of St. Augustine and 30 minutes to downtown city of Jacksonvile. We live very close to many restaurants, shopping centers and movie theaters. We are also very close to the St. Johns River. You are free to cook your own food here or you are welcome to eat with our family. We welcome families with children, too.
The couch in my living room or my bedroom floor, use of my bathroom, and the kitchen, as long as you bring your food. I'm about 15-20 minutes from Jax Beach, and about 20-30 from downtown. It's fairly central to the "good" parts of Jacksonville, but it's not necessarily convenient. Not too terribly far from I-95, probably better for an overnight stop as you're passing through.
I have a 3500 square foot home with 5 bedrooms and a large pool. Depending upon the number of people in your group or family staying, the accomodations will vary. I have an extra bedroom and an office. I also have plenty of sofas and floor space. My home is in a very nice neighborhood near public transportation. It is 20 mins. from the beach and 2.5 hours from Disneyland.
Medium sized room with double bed in 3 bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood near the river. Bathroom down the hall. Kitchen across the hall. House is near everything (downtown, little shops, mall) Beach is 40 minutes away. Disney is 3 hours. St. Augustine is 40 minutes. You really need to have a car. Rental places nearby and at the airport.
I live in a small apartment in Orlando, FL but my parents have a five bedroom home with a large pool in Jacksonville, FL. You can have a separate room there. Public transportation is not good in Florida. We have buses, but they do not run very often. They are 20 minutes from the beach, 2.5 hours to Orlando theme parks.
Trundle bed. Will accommodate 2, but in a common room, so not much privacy. Shared bath. Near entertainment area, cinema, restaurants, but would need a car. Public transportation is inconvenient. Kitchen available to use, but need to buy your own food & clean up after yourself. Two and a half hour drive from Orlando.
I am not using master bedroom in my apartment. It has a attached bathroom and a walk in closet. I have some stuff in the room but there is enough place to sleep. It does not have a bed though. I may be able to provide a blanket. Target (home stuff) for basic necessities and highway are close by.
