Queen sized double bed in a private room in my two bedroom house, on a stairway just above the Governor's Mansion in downtown Juneau (the Alaska state capital). Since the city is hemmed in by mountains and water, everything downtown is within close walking distance. The airport is 8 km away, and the ferry dock is 18 km away from downtown. Juneau lies on the beautiful inside passage of Southeast Alaska, served by the ferries of the Alaska Marine Highway. The city is not accessible directly by road, but several flights per day connect with Seattle as well as other Alaska towns. Juneau is a great base for kayaking and hiking. Bring a raincoat though! You can use my kitchen and we can share food and meals.
We have a small guest cabin with a double bed. Our accomidations are actually in Ketchikan Alaska instead of Juneau Alaska but the system would not take Ketchikan. We love to travel and also show Alaska to those who visit. We live on an island across from the main town of Ketchikan and live off the grid with boat transportation being utilized. It is on ly 10 minutes to the main island. We have laundry, shared bathroom-shower, and are welcome to cook your food in the shared kitchen or pitch in and share meals with our family. Small room with comfortable double bed in my medium sized home in the valley by the glacier in Juneau, Alaska. It is locate on the bus line and easy to get to and leave. It is located within 5 minutes from the airport. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. My place is a great place as a home base for exploring Juneau and the surrounding area.
currently i am traveling around europe. visiting just about anywhere and everywhere i can. if you would like a place to stay all i can offer at the moment is a place next to me where ever i find to sleep that night. when i am in alaska i am a student in juneau. i live in an aprtment and have all the floor space in the world. everything i have (which is not much) i am will to share.
I teach outdoor leadership at a small college in rural Alaska. I welcome travellers seeking outdoor adventure. Since a live in a small house full to the brim with my family I cannot offer a bed or a couch. I can offer tentspace and local knowledge, especially as it relates to adventuring in the outdoors.
Small room with 2 beds and some couches in the family room. Decent sized house. Can't really walk to anywhere from my house, as it's in the valley and about a 15 minute drive from downtown. Very close to the Mendenhall Glacier. Public transportation is decent in Juneau but not the greatest.
during the summer i house sit in a large house in juneau alaska where i also work as a nurse during the summer..it has 4 bedroooms so you can have a bedroom to yourself.
at this time we aren't able to provide accomodation. we are seeking it. is anyone able to accomodate a couple with a dog while we look for a place to live in Juneau?
Currently (1/9/08) pregnant, due to have the baby in the summer (June, 08') so unavailable to give accommodation until Summer of 2009 for now.
I live on a verrry small sailboat, can maybe offer a spare berth. Its very narrow so would be best for small-framed person.
