Meet people prepared to show you the best of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo!
I have to be honest, I am not a neat person, but I will try to clean if I know you are coming enough in advance! I have a nice long light blue velvet couch. It is animal-hair-free and located in the living room of our tree house like upstairs unit in the Vine Neighborhood. Our neighborhood is near downtown Kalamazoo, and we know the yummiest places to eat and parks to feed ducks at. Kalamazoo is home to Western Michigan University, so there is quite a night life for such a small (80,000 pop.) town. We offer a lot of artisic experiences, even if you are just crashing on your way to a bigger town. We are right between Chicago and Detroit. We'd love you to get your face painted if you are daring enough! Oh, I have a very hip 4.5 year old daughter, but she can always stay with the grandparents if you are allergic to kids! Smoking is allowed on the porch. I don't smoke, or really look happily upon it, but I understand. I face paint on the weekends, so I am free weekdays to take guests around town. We also have a bus system and bikes. We have food, blankets and hot water, and our place is pretty clean and colorful. There is an airplane museum, lots of art galleries, a museum about K-Zoo history, and much crazier things less than an hour away.
I'm sorry, but I won't be able to host any surfers until I get back from Europe... I'm packing up all of my stuff to leave for Chicago on Friday, and furthermore live in a very bad part of a not-very-good town, where it is dangerous and I would worry about the safety of guests. My neighborhood didn't used to be like that and it's time I move. My husband and I will be more than happy to accomodate people upon our return to America! I will write more then :)
Loveley couch available!! Or if you want you can pitch a tent on my balcony...haha. I live verryy close to the campus and downtown soo there is always fun things to do and see. I have roommates so you god knows oyu may have to use the tent but well see. We also haev a pool and gym so if you are up to it you can work on your fitness! You can use the kitchen and whatever else just please buy your own stuff(food, tp, toothbrush).
Studio apartment near downtown Kalamazoo. Close to bars, shops, Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College. My apartment is a 10 minute walk from the Amtrack Train Stations which can take you to Chicago or Detroit in 3 hours or less! I don't have much to offer. I can share my small kitchen and bathroom, but you'll need to provide your own food and toiletries.
I am a easy spirit with a passion for meeting new people and seeing places. I appreciate your time and consideration. I realize opening your home to a stranger is a risky thing to do. I assure everyone who hosts me that as your guest I will respect your home, space and rights. I do have severe allergies to cats. Thanks for your time and safe travels to all!
A nice little apartment approx. 30min from the campus of Western Michigan University. Very close to shopping. Near a bus stop which goes all over the city. The couch or the floor or a cozy basement are available when we are around. One girl, two guys and two cats. We are all students with part time jobs but love the night life and meeting new people.
I live at a unofficial collective called the vine collective. There are many people that come through the house. We range from 6 to 11 members ages 18 to 30 at any given time. We are located downtown in the "student" area. Everything is bike-able or walkable in Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo is a unique college town.
Rather small room has fold out bed, also have couch in living room if needed....Willing to allow two people at a time stay. Food is here unless you like something different than what I have. I live in the middle of nowhere. This is a very quiet place to come.
Presently I don't have much of a space to offer but I can surely try and find a place for you among the people I know here. I can also point out good places to camp. Kalamazoo is a good place and free accommodation should not be hard to come by.
Bed or couch, depending on when, in family home in nice neighborhood. We aren't too close to much of anything; 20 minute walk downtown. 10 minutes from Western Michigan University, 20 from Kalamazoo College.
