Meet people prepared to show you the best of La Paz!
My nameŽs Gabriel, IŽm a 20 year old German doing social work in a streetchildren foundation in La Paz, Bolivia. Unfortunately IŽm going to leave Bolivia soon, so that youŽll probably wonŽt be able to stay at my house here in La Paz, but youŽre welcome any time back home in Germany (april this year), where I live in a small town about 1 hour away from Cologne. There are a couple of public transports to bigger cities like Cologne (World Cup Stadium), Duesseldorf, Wuppertal, Dortmund (World Cup Stadium) where you can go by bus and train... . You can either stay right at my house or at my grandmotherŽs house next door, in a single room with a comfortable bed, access to the kitchen. WeŽll talk about any further details as soon as we get in touch... . I speak German, French, Spanish and English so that thereŽll probably be some way tu understand each other no matter where youŽre from... As IŽll start studying in october and I donŽt know yet what IŽm going to do back home IŽll probably have enough time to take you to some cities nearby, show you my region ect..
The house is located in the south of the city, 20 min away from the centre. The bus stop is 5 min away. Nex to our house we have a mountain path where you can get an amazing view Usually the guest will have his own private time, my parents work and me and my brother are in the university, so we are away almost all day. However, this does not mean that we will eat together with the guest and do other activities as a family (usually on the weekends). WeŽve had canadians, germans, belgians and austrians in our house before (from 1 week to 10 months), so we are used to have people from other nations in our home :)
i have a small room with two "twin" beads, blankets and pillows are available as la paz is very cold some times! :D i live with my family, so will be a "family environment", no drugs nor crazy stuff, but fun and a great experience! :) as the house is not only mine, i can not five you a key, but there is always someone at home, so will be easy to come and go. i live 10 min from the center, at a department building, and there is public transportation to everywhere in the city from the main door. :)
I live in the highest major cities in the world, up to 4150 meters (13,615 feet) above sea level in an Area surrounded of dull closed minded native indigenous south-Americans people to 20 minutes of the El Alto International Airport and 45 minutes away by car from downtown, the available room is small aside to a tiny kitchen you can cook if you know how to do it, but do not burn my house, the bathroom and the shower is in the yard.
I live in a rather large apartment for myself. There is an extra room but I use it as my office since I work from home. However, I am happy for people to use it and set up a spare bed or two either in the room or anywhere in the large living room. Two bathrooms, large kitchen, spacious living room, AMAZING views of the snow-capped mountains of the Andes.
**Please note: We're currently travelling so can't host anyone right now.** We don't have any outdoor space, but if you have a sleeping mat and sleeping bag you're welcome to our wooden floor. We live very close to a great street market as well as supermarket, a few restaurants and bars. Really easy to walk everywhere in La Paz from our apartment.
We live 20 minutes from the center of La Paz, we have a bar and a bunch of mattresses but please bring your own sleeping bag. Quite a way to the nearest shops but with a good atmosphere with fellow freeloaders.
Small room with comfortable bed, medium size, all inside a family house. We are 30 to 40 minutes from downtown La Paz
Unfortunately IÂŽm planning a long trip (12 months) and wonÂŽt be able to help with a place to stay.
Feel free to STAY the guest room, nice and confortable. I live 2 minutes from the main square.
