I am a travel RN, so I am not at my house the majority of the time. I have 3 bedrooms: my bedroom with a full size mattress, a spare room with an air mattress, and another room I use as a computer/craft room but has room for another air mattress if necessary. I have no couch or living room furniture except my great-grandmother's rocking chair, because it is not necessary for me. There is a stove, microwave, washer, and dryer for you to use, and the kitchen is stocked with the basics for cooking. I do not smoke, so any smokers would have to smoke outside. There is one bathroom with a shower only, no tub. Lewistown is just over the mountain from State College, home of Penn Sate University, so there are sports events often there. Bryce Jordan Center is also in State College if you are interested in attending any concerts. An interesting nearby town to visit is Belleville, which is not very far away. There is a large Amish community there, and every Wednesday there is a large livestock auction. People travel from hours away to sell/buy/or just look around. There are also lots of vendors at the auction, selling just about everything imaginable, but especially Amish baked goods and local produce. I have taken friends visiting from Mexico to Belleville Auction and they thought it was a great cultural experience. Just about everywhere you drive around the Lewistown area you have to be careful because there are Amish driving their horses and buggies. Lewistown is about 45 minutes from Raystown Lake, the largest lake in Pennsylvania. It is 6 miles north of Harrisburg, PA, the state capital. It is approximately 5 hours from NYC and 3 hours from DC.
