Potentially three medium-sized rooms available, each with a comfortable double bed in our large 5-bedroom home in mid-western Illinois. We are near Nauvoo, the historic community of the Latter-day Saints (Mormons), on the Mississippi River. This is a wonderful stopping off place on your trek across the United States, and a good base from which to explore the history of this section of the country. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will need to buy your own food.
We have a 2 bedroom house available 2 blocks from all downtown accomodations (library, grocery, post office, restaraunts). We are really looking for a home exchange while I study for my phd in Switzerland. However, if we can find a place to stay in Switzerland, we would still need someone to stay in our home long term.
I am currently unable to provide couch space as I am in the process of moving and currently living with several roommates.
Sorry all I have is tent space right now. Going through a separation and things are like that right now.
We live near the Local University and would be willing to host someone for 2 or 3 days.

Small room with window (but would have to sleep on floor, with blankets, pads, etc.). in small house in town of Macomb. Could use my kitchen, too. My house is close to everything because it is a small town but there is not much to see or do because it is a small town! Macomb is on train line (Amtrak) connected to Chicago. The train leaves early in morning and arrives at night, once a day.
Room with 1 double bed, bath immediately next room. College town with walking distance to everything. Rail service via Amtrak, 3 hours from Chicago.
