Hi guys! We've got a house with a small room left for you. There are two mattresses which you can make yourself comfortable on. We're sure you'll enjoy our big garden as well! :) Of course you can use our bathroom, the kitchen, the washing machine and certainly your little cosy room. Feel free to keep your food in our fridge and have one warm meal a day freshly cooked by Mum :), the rest of the food should be brought by you. We love to welcome you for up to a week! Mainz is a very nice city with about 200.000 citizens. You've got the possibilities to go out at night to bars or clubs, eat in one of the many restaurants or go on a great shopping trip. If you'ld like to see more of the cultural things you can book a guided tour or just walk with us through the Old Town. If you go by bus or by car it takes you about 15 minutes to the city centre. The edge of the river Rhine is a nice place to chill out and relax. Besides, Mainz is near a couple of bigger cities like Wiesbaden (20 km), Frankfurt/M (40 km) or Cologne (180 km). The best way to visit those cities from Mainz would be by train.
The couch is in my room in my flat-sharing community. You can use the kitchen while you are here, but you have to buy your own food. Mainz is a big city so there are many possibilities to spend your time(bars, clubs, museums, the Old Town and much more) It is a 5 minute bus ride to the city and just a 20 minute bus, tram or train ride to other big cities near Mainz. The most popular time for visiting Mainz might the time of Carnival, because Mainz is one of the three "Carnival-Cities" in Germany. The highlight is the so called "Rosenmontagsumzug" when everybody in Mainz is having a big, big party
In our house we can offer one (maybe two) room with a double bed and a guest bathroom. We live in a village about 10 km from Mainz, the station is in walking distance. We are close to the Rhine river and have a beautiful landscape around where they grow wine, fruits and asparagus. Great place to hike, to make a boat trip on the river or - to enjoy wine ;-) It is not far to Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Rüdesheim, Loreley. You can use garden (if wheather allows) and kitchen. I like cooking (!) and my husband is a very nice host.
I live in a nice flat about 300m from the main station, perfect for people travelling by train or bus. I'm working from home; there's a nice sleeping sofa (140x200) in my home office waiting for guests. I'm also happily sharing my living room, bathroom and a large kitchen with lots of stuff and even a LaSpaziale Dream - espresso lovers welcome! You can have your own key while you stay, and depending on my time (and your interest) I can show you some nice places in Mainz.
Small room with a comfortable single bed in my medium sized 3 bedroom townhouse in the suburb of Richmond. We are very close to everything - shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport (it's a 7 minute tram or train ride into the city-centre). Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Our place would be a great base to explore both Melbourne and Victoria.
hey - i'm a student from mainz who lives in a 5-people-flatshare (age 25 - 36), close to the main trainstation. the spare bed would be in my room. feel free to use the shower/phone/kitchen etc. as long as you want. and even if you feel like watching movies, instead of seeing the chagall windows*, you can use my flatmates tv as well (since i don't have one...) - in short: you are welcomed.
1 spare bed in my student dorm, we will be sharing a small room together. Located 5 minutes walk from the central railway station of Mainz (Mainz Hauptbahnhof). Supermarkets are 10 minutes away. Feel free to use the kitchen while you're here, but you'll have to buy your own ingredients. I have pots and pans of various sizes, an oven, and a microwave.
shared flat with 5 people, mostly students in mid 20s. i can offer floor space, plenty of camping mats and a blanket. if you're lucky there might even be a free room as one of our flatmates is frequently away. we're right in the center of Mainz, about 5 minutes from the train station in a quiet little street.
sometimes a small room with bed, sometimes a sofa, sometimes a whole flat and sometimes just a small place in the garden for a tent or a sleeping bag. Just ask to see whats possible... always maximum 3 min to public transport and in most cases just short stays up to max three nights are possible.
Spacious shared 3 room apartment (120 sqm), occupied by 2. Overnight guests are welcome to sleep on a spare couch in our free room. Apartment is a 5 min walk from the station, right in the center of Mainz. Parking in the area could be a problem, but if you are prepared to walk 15 mins it is ok.
