*** NO MORE COUCH AVAILABILYTY FOR JANUARY **** I am currently living with a relative on the third and last floor of a magnificent building apartment in Ahuntsic (center-north of Montreal). Less than 7 minutes walk to the subway station Henri-Bourassa; and 20 minutes from down-town Montreal via subway. We live next to a water front and a park. Wireless Internet available. We would like to host some visitors form foreign countries. Although, for now, we don’t really have a place designated for couch surfers in our home, we would be please to welcome you. For the moment, I can easily furnish an add-on single bed (inflatable mattress on a bed case) in a closed/private room (my working room), bedclothes, blankets and towels. If this might be more convenient, I can also make my room available for 1 or 2 days (see picture). Please note that light smokers are allowed only if they smoke outside. Also you may want to know that we are sharing our apartment with two lovely cats. Nous résidons près d'un parc et d'un cours d'eau. Internet sans fil disponible. Nous aimerions loger des visiteurs de pays étrangers. Pour l'instant, aucun endroit spécifique dans la maison n'a été désigné pour recevoir un couch sufer, mais puisque nous vivons un grand 7 pièces et demi, nous pouvons facilement accueillir une personne dans un pièce privée (pièce de travail) sur un lit d’appoint (matelas gonflable sur base de lit pliant). Si cela peut être plus pratique, je peux aussi rendre ma chambre disponible pour un séjour d’une nuit ou deux (voir photo). Veuillez noter que les fumeurs légers ne sont bienvenus que s'ils fument à l'extérieur de la maison. Aussi, prenez note que nous partageons notre magnifique appartement avec deux gentils minets. Despite my chronological age, I'm more fit thant I was at half of it. I'll be setting out in early May 2005 from Sorel 50 kms East of Montreal to begin trans-Atlantic crossing on my Hughes 25 Chinese junkrigged sailboat, casting off from Sydney, Nova Scotia in early June for the Azores, 2-3 weeks journey, then on to South Coast of England, 2-3 weeks later, to cruise north shore of Channel across North Sea to Goteborg, Sweden, then down to Kiel Canal, thru canals to Rhone River, Mediterranean, coast of Spain, Algarve. Canaries, Madeira, Antilles, Bermuda and back to Canada. Can accomodate 1 medium sized or two smaller sized crew on board on any part of journey and another companion in my tent as I cycletour along the way. For ocean crossing, crew must have substantial sailing experience. Since I do not eat the flesh of our winged and four legged warm blooded fellow passengers on spaceship Earth nor smoke tobacco or anything else, those interested must provide their own edible flesh and forego smoking on board. Other food and drink will be provided by myself. For ocean crossing, prospective crew members must deposit open return air ticket with me and submit to search for prohibited drugs before boarding.
We have two couches, and a spare matress in a large loft in a former industrial building. Our neighbourhood is kind of weird as it's mostly industrial but it has lots of interesting history and neat quirks, just not much to do. The apartment is very central, we're a 15 minute walk from Downtown, 10 minute walk from Old Montreal (where you can rent a bike which I highly recommend if exploring the city), a couple blocks from the Lachine Canal and its wonderful bike paths and parks, and fairly close to the Plateau district, blvd St-Laurent, Chinatown, and many other Montreal attractions. Transit service is good-about a 7 minute walk from Bonaventure Metro station and half a block from a bus that takes you into the heart of downtown. The kitchen is open to all guests, however, the house is vegetarian so we ask that no meat be cooked in the house. Please buy your own food as we're all fairly poor although sometimes we have potlucks which you would be more than invited to. We usually stay up late but if going to bed early is necessary, we are more than able to accommodate. Cigarette smoking is not allowed inside the house and must be done outside.
My boyfriend David and I live in a large 2-bedroom apartment close to downtown Montreal, the Lachine canal and bike path, Charlevoix metro station, and the beautiful Atwater market. It is on the third floor of a three-story building, with lots of natural light. There's a living room with TV & DVD, wifi. There's a big bookcase full of classics and contemporaries (you're welcome to borrow any book you want during your stay). There's also a big back balcony giving out on a shared back yard which is perfect for sipping your morning coffee. There's a huuuuge kitchen equipped with everything you need, and we have a washer and dryer in a nook in the dining room as well. As for the bedrooms, they are next to each other at the end of the hall. Ours is the master bedroom, and the guest bedroom is slightly smaller and is now being used as a study of sorts. We hope to buy a foldout couch upon our return from Europe in July 2013, and to then be able to return the favour to anyone who's taken us in, and more!
My couch folds out into a double bed, I also have a queen size air matress, so I could sleep two couples comfortably in the livingroom and spare room. I have sheets a couple blankets, 2 extra pillows. It's free to stay, and you can use all the amenities as long as you're respectful! (bathroom w/ shower - good water pressure! Stove/oven, Fridge, toaster oven, dishes, basic TV, DVD player) (no computer/internet - sorry! but there's wireless in the area if you have a portable you can pick up the connection!)

I live in the heart of The Plateau close to bars and clubs, restaurants, and everything. Walking distance to downtown. I currently live alone
I work weekdays and am out of the house from 8am-6:30pm and go to bed at about 10-11pm but I can hang out on the weekends! I can host anytime if my guests don't mind being out of the house when I am. I think I wouldn't want people around more than a week, but it depends on how we're getting along!

1 room (bathroom in it) with confortable single or double bed in a beautiful house in wood, in Dunham at 1:30 hour from Montréal. Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean the dishes :) We also have a nice organic garden (june to october) 155 acres of calm, field and forest. Near: Vines road, at 20min from Mont Sutton (skying) and Pinnacle. Une belle chambre disponible pouvant accomoder 2 personnes, lit simple ou double avec salle de bain intégrée (douche , lavabo et cabinet.) La maison est très belle, en bois pièces sur pièces 40 X 20 de 2 étages. Nous partagerons aussi notre jardin de culture biologique si vous le désirez. Soyez à l'aise d'utiliser notre cuisine mais nous aimerions que les gens s'occupent de remettre celle-ci propre après usage. 155 acres de paix, champ et foret à 20 min du Mont Sutton (ski, randonnée) et du Mont Pinacle. So the neighbourhood is called Quartier Saint-Henri. It's located right off Notre-Dame Ouest street in south west montreal to be precise. There are 2 couches to choose from, so I guess I'd be willing to accommodate max. 2 freeloaders, for max. a few days. The apartment is shared between myself, and my two roommates. The place is newly renovated and is on the second floor of a walk-up. Our location is extremely close to supermarkets, large fresh produce market/Atwater market, ethnic restaurants, some cafes, post office, pharmacy/drugstore. We are about 10 minutes walk (or 2-4 metro stops)to Ste-Catherine street, which is a major Downtown Montreal street. 5 minutes walk from nearest metro station. free use of washer and dryer, and kitchen. I work during the evenings and from September to May am a full-time student so maybe my roommates can help you out more but I would be happy to give you some tips too!
Hi. I have a hide-a-bed in my kitchen/livingroom which my roomate and I will gladly share with you. I live in a very central area of Montreal (Pointe-St-Charles) close to the Atwater Market, Lachine Canal and a half hour at the most, wether on foot, bike, or public transportation, from the downtown core. I am a buggy (horse and carriage) driver in Old Montreal...and I know the city like the back of my hand. I have two 6 month old cats and one mature cat, Buster. I have a back balcony that looks out onto a huge sport field/park; we like to hang out sometimes on the balcony when it's hot and just hang out. Though both of us work, I only in the evenings, so I have part of the day free, it would be our pleasure to show you around town and help you with your trip. Welcome to Montreal! P.S. Our place is quite small so our place is open only one or two days at a time.
We are three people living in a coop in Hochelega-Maisonneuve, a working-class neighbourhood that isn't trendy at all and that's why we love it. We are near the Promenades Ontario, famous for its many hot-dog restaurants and pawn shops. It's got its charm during the day. We also live near the Krishna's temple, so every Sunday, there is a big vegetarian feast for FREE. We are two full time students and one full time worker, so the best time we can host is on weekends and on weekday evenings. We love cooking big feasts. We listen to music a lot, we play guitar, accordion. We have a kitten Boris and we smoke outside, on the balcony. We have a big coumfy couch and a smaller sofa that does the job.
