Meet people prepared to show you the best of Nottingham!
We have a very large couch in a large living room in a large house on the outskirts of the city centre of Nottingham. We're right next to the tram stop so you can get in and out of town easy enough (5 min ride). You could also mooch across a lovely city park to get there or you walk down the main road with about 6 amazing second hand and vintage shops on the way. We're in a great location. I live with 4 other people and we're all lovely, lovely post-grads who have shared the couch many a time with fiends and out-of-towners. You are free to use the fridge and kitchen facilities and we may even cook for you. It would also be lovely if you coook show us some recipes. We love cake. There are also some awesome pubs nearby, from community volunteer-led enterprises to proper pubs to live music venues. We are happy to point you in the right direction. You can smoke anything you want in our kitchen and should expect to share your joy. We are a lovely bunch and are looking to lend a helping hand and possibly make friends. Look forward to meeting you!
Victorian 3 storey town house close to Nottingham City Centre; 2 rooms with single beds, futons can be provided. Nottingham is an expanding cosmopolitan town in the midlands in england. It is the home of Nottingham Castle and the lengend Robin Hood. Surrounding countryside is very beautiful and easy accessible. We have the National Forest the peak distict only 40 minutes from our doorstep. Bus ride into the city is 5 minutes away and the tram services in Nottingham run regularly connecting to the train station and North Notts border. Feel free to use all the facilities in the house, However you will have to provide your own food. We are up for having shared meals and if I get time I love cooking big feasts! The Midlands is a base to further explore all areas of England, London is only over an hour away on the train.
Double room with King size bed plus a spare double matress which can just about be pulled out to sleep 2 on the floor. I live with my boyfriend in a semi-detached house in Beeston, Nottingham. It is 5 minutes walk from the train station and 2 minutes to the bus stop. The train station has regular trains to London, Birmingham, etc. Plus it takes 4 minutes to train into Nottingham city centre. We have a short haired Staffordhsire bull terrier so allergy sufferers may struggle! We have a garden and double parking space (neither of us can drive so they remain empty most of the time). Welcome to use all facilities but may not be able to feed a big group for a long stay.
Small single bed room in a town called Long Eaton near Nottingham (good for exploring Robin Hood country) with train and bus station right near by it is about 20 mns to get in to the city centre. Nottingham is a good city to visit with plenty to do. Can use the house for the usual things; for example food wise depending on where you come from i'd cook traditional English food for you and vice versa etc. As Nottingham is in the Midlands, its easy to get to most of the U.K on day trips, for example London, Manchester, Birmingham are all there for the taking! Have the usual mod cons as well and can smoke outside, hopegully while its warm enough for a bbq!
I currently have a small spare single bedroom and a fold away bed in my conservatory. I also have a large back garden (by city standards) in which you'd be welcome to pitch a tent. I even have a tent too! It's a 30 min walk into the city centre where there are a wealth of leisure and entertainment facilities (bars, restaurants, clubs, hockey, concert arena, cinema, etc.). Local shops and bus stops are a 5 min walk. If you can provide your own food, you're welcome to stay here short-term. It's a great base from which to explore Nottinghamshire or the Midlands. I only ask that you respect my family and neighbours while you're here.
occasionally spare room vacant, or large sitting room free all the time which can sleep up to 4 people. House is the wing of a mansion, and built in 1880s. It is 5 minutes walk from Nottingham Castle, which is 5 minutes walk from town centre. Use of kitchen and bathroom and lovely (in summer!)garden. Visit Robin Hood country (sherwood forest etc), see museums, many Indian restaurants, and the Peak District is an hours drive away - this is excellent for walking in. One hr 50 mins to London, near to Leicester, Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham East Midlands Airport (20 mins drive). Piano available.
I have a lovely 2 bed apartment about 10 mins from the city centre. I live here with a friend and my cat. I have a pretty big and comfortable sofa which someone is welcome to, big tv, fast wifi, all cooking equipment and a nice big kitchen, you would need to buy your own food though. Dishwasher, washing machine, bath, separate shower etc. I work weekdays and either gig at weekends with my band or let my hair down. I'm very friendly and sociable and would be happy to show someone around in my spare time :) Great location to explore, nothing is really all that far away.
Conservatory, Living Room or small bedroom with spare bed in a small 2 bed room house in Derby, 15 minutes from Nottingham. There are amenities close by, shops, take aways, pharmacy (2 minute walk). The kitchen would be shared, as well as the bathroom. Derby has many attractions itself, the peak district is just 10 minutes drive away. Nottingham is a 15 to 20 minute drive away. There are also busses and trains. East Midlands Airport is around 20 minutes drive away. There are also busses available to take you directly there and back.
Self-contained bedroom/living room (double bed, table, chairs, TV & DVD & CD, en suite shower room, kitchen area with hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. There is a separate entrance but it is joined to our 3 bedroom family house in Nottingham so you can come and go as you please or join in with the family. We also have a large garden if you want to camp! Nottingham has lots of attractions of its own and being in the centre of the UK is well placed for visiting the Derbyshire Peak District, Yorkshire, London (90 minutes by train)etc.
I have a 2 bedroomed country cottage on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. Easy access via Motorway to the fabulous city of Nottingham (30 minutes drive away), Peak District 30 minutes drive away. At the moment house will be available for approx 3 months between October 2005 - Jan 2006 as I am travelling the States. Can use all facilites. Also happy to accomodate visitors if they would like to stay for short periods whilst visiting the area.
