I live in a lofly loft in a 150 yr old stone building. Which is 200 steps to the village docks and park- a wonderful place for morning coffee. It is cozy-but you will have a bedroom if you want to be alone. Chances are if you decide to come here it is to visit in the summer time. I live in an Area called land of the lakes..I'm actually on Rideau Lake in a village called Westport. We are situated approx. 65 miles south of Ottawa. You would need a car here. We have no local buses either. Although if you can do with out a car. This a wonderful place to spend a few days or couple of weeks, kicking back, relaxing, long walks in the beautiful country side, fishing swimming and fantastic shopping in the unusual shopsall with in walking distants-We have a large tourist base here...from cottagers, to B@b's.I can always arrage to pick you up in Kingston. Westport is a majical place and people still smile at each other while greeting you good-morning.
I live in the city of Ottawa, I share a 2 bedroom apartment with a friend of mine, we have two rooms and a shared kitchen which of course can be used by the guest. Since we dont have an extra room in the flat the accomodation type would be either a mattress or a foldable couch. Or in some cases it's also possible to get a spare room by arrangments made by me and my flatmate either by one of us moving away to live with friends or we can also share one room together for the period of time the guest is using the other room. We live outside of chinatown area. 10 min bus ride to downtown, The department stores, parks, marketplaces, bars, restaurants, terminals etc. are just minutes away. The sheets, towels and stuff like that can be borrowed from us, food and such the guest has to provide him- /herself.
We have a comfy queen size air bed for you to crash on. It's big enough for two who want to share, and we've got a sofa that'll sleep one (it doesn't fold out). We live in downtown Ottawa, within walking distance to all the cool tourist-y stuff. There's lots of great restaurants and shopping just down the street, and we're right on the Rideau Canal. There is a bus stop right in front of our building. You can use our kitchen while you're here, grab a beer or a glass of wine and make yourself at home. I'll gladly cook for you - in exchange for beer or wine, or some good smoke(but smoking's gotta happen outside on the balcony)! You can have unlimited use of the (indoor) rooftop pool / hot-tub / sauna / sundeck area while you're here, and there's free indoor parking on weekends.
Hello! I have a spare bedroom in my house and if necessary, someone can sleep on the couch in the living room. There is most likely room for ya! I am sharing our 3 bdrm apartment in a house with one roomate. We are very close to restaurants and public transport (just around the corner, or 10 min walk to the fast city transport). You are welcome to use the house/kitchen/etc as you respect our things too. We'd prefer if you'd help out with buying your own food, although, if we are making a big meal already, we'd invite you to it. No obligations of course as Im not the most amazing cook either! We'd love to show you around the city a bit too if we are available...we usually are at some point!
We have two very comfortable futon couches/beds (one queen-sized, one double) available for guests in a nice family room in our basement. It's a very private space as we also have a living room upstairs we can use while you're visiting. Our house is located on a quiet, tree-lined street about a 20-minute bus ride away from the centre of Ottawa, where the Parliament buildings, market, national art gallery and museums are located. We live in a very safe, trendy little neighbourhood where you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as a huge grocery store only 5 minutes away on foot. It's pretty easy to get here from the airport, train and bus stations by public transit.
A comfortable room with a double bed in our 3 bedroom apartment. We live in the neighborhood of Westboro which is a very nice and trendy part of Ottawa with lots of shops and restaurants, as well as being a major stop on the transitway which is a quick bus system giving you access to the rest of the city with buses coming every five minutes or so. We live within very easy access of a very large supermarket, and would be very willing to let you make use of our kitchen if you've bought your own stuff, especially since we both work during the day, but we would be willing to share a supper now and then in the evening as well!
Currently, I could offer you my couch. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment so you'd be sleeping in the living room. The apartment is equipped with high speed internet which you could use. You could also use the kitchen, provided you buy your own food and clean up after yourself. I am situated near (within a 10 minute walk) several major city bus routes than can have you downtown in less than 20 minutes (depending on traffic and time of day). One of these routes (the 97) is the bus that you can take to and from the airport. I'm also within a 10 minute walk to the 95, which is the route that runs to the train station.
Can offer a finished basement with lots of room, a TV and an exercise bike. There is a single pull out loveseat which could sleep one, but lots of room for airbeds or mattresses. We are 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa (Kanata) and there is bus service. Feel free to share our kitchen with us. Walking distance to grocery stores and malls. Great bike paths in summer and cross-country ski trails close by. I also have a cottage in Quebec (1 hour away), on a quiet clean lake which has fabulous swimming in the summer and skiing and skating in the winter. Two spare bedrooms there.
Currently there 1 person (and a cat) living here so there is plenty of room to share. Queen, Double and Single bed and a comfy long couch and an air-bed. There is easy access to bus routes & biking trails. 20 min by bus to downtown. Close to small mall, restaurants and grocery stores. I don't keep a lot of food in the house so you may have to find a favourite restaurant to frequent or feel free to pick up groceries and do your own cooking. I have a fully equiped kitchen. I look forward to being your guide to a great city - Our Nation's Capitol.
Futon in living room in downtown apartement. Fifteen minute walk to world famous Rideau Canal. Five minute bus ride to Parliament Hill and all museums (Canadian War Museum, Royal Canadian Mint, Museum of Civilization..). Five minute bus ride to Byward Market (fine dining and night time entertainment). Kitchen is available, but please provide your own food (10 minute walk to grocery, beer and liquor store). Major bus route connection from airport straight to the apartment.
