Meet people prepared to show you the best of Prague!
I have a large apartment. I can only accommodate you in my bedroom or in the living room. I do not have a separate room for you. I have one extra bed for guests and an inflatable mattress for two. I do not mind to share with you my bed (as a manifestation of extreme respect and Russian traditions of hospitality). But keep in mind - I can cuddle in his sleep)) hahaha My house is in the center of Prague. "I.P. Pavlova" metro Station is a 5 min walk. From my house to Wenceslas Square can be reached in just 15 minutes. Want to see it on a map? https://goo.gl/maps/GghCI If you are happy to stay with me conditions are the following: A. Smoke in our house can not, but you can smoke in the courtyard. B. I love visitors, but that does not mean that you can sit on my neck) C. You can come too late (from the club, bar), but it is important to keep quiet. When I sleep, forbidden to use the kitchen, watching TV and so on. D. I am very good-natured person, but if you do not like something - remember that you are not in the hotel and you no one should.
Big, bright, old but cozy flat situated in the centre, close to all popular monuments and party places. 2 bedrooms (sometimes 1 is occupied - please ask me for more info), big living room with TV, FatBoy sofas, equipped kitchen and a smiling owner :) One of the best places to stay in Prague. Beautiful Little town with Galleries, Cathedral and Prague Castle is just across the street. Famous Old Town is about 10 minutes to walk. Relaxing and entertaining parks with beautiful view (Petřín, Letenské sady) are about 5-15 mins walk. Everything else is easily reachable by trams, buses or metro. The best on the flat is definitelly a lot of bright, free space. Instead of tons of luxury stuff on every corner expect rooms in retro style, with high ceilings, big windows and stylish furniture. There are me and 30years young architect using the flat, but we are moving out this summer (but keeping the flat) - so we offer 1 room the whole flat (more info on request).
We would like to offer free accommodation in an old farm house in central Czech Republic in return for a couple of hours of labor on the restoration of this beautiful 200 year old farm. We would only ask for you to contribute 2-3 hours a day in return for free board which can be a bed/ a number of rooms / or a number of tents on the 4500ms2 plot of land. We can certainly take groups and if you would like to do more hours each day we are willing to negotiate and include some food / beer and local transport (bikes, buses etc). The farm is situated 40 minutes from Prague in the preserved national park Kokorin (North of the town Melnik) and is worth a week or more stay with great bike routes, walking trails and the famous Kokorin castle just a 2 Kilometer walk away. There are very cheap pubs in the local area and even tennis courts in the village. Help us in our dream and we'll help you have a fantastic free holiday! :)
**At the moment, I am travelling until sometime in September 2006** I have a fold out couch in the livingroom of my flat which is close to the summer palace, 2 incredible parks, metro and day and night transport. A 20 minute walk to the center or just a few minutes on tram or metro. You are welcome to use the kitchen. Yet, I am vegetarian, so no animal in the house, please. Cheese and eggs are OK. Small store around the corner and 2 open markets on the other side of the street. Large market and natural foods shops only 2 tram stops away or a few minutes walk in either direction. My place has some nice restaurants and shops nearby or you can explore in town. I am on the first European floor, so no big walk up.
I live in a modern apartment block which is next to a tram line. It takes 20 minutes to get to central Prague. The area is quiet both during the day and during the night. As I start work early I tend to offer the bedroom to my guests and I sleep on the couch in the living room. Guests sometimes find this a bit strange, but it means I can go to bed late and get up early. The apartment is comfortable but typically a bachelor flat so it hasn't got the 'feminine' touchs that some places might have. But it is clean, safe and well situated next to the metro. I know Prague very very well so if guests need showing around I'm happy to do it within the bounds of my work commitments.
There are two couches that can be transformed into two large beds. They are in the living room of the flat, which is a separate room. The apartment is not in the center, but the center can be reached on foot within 10 minutes, and also via tram and metro (just a couple stations away). The biggest park in Prague and the National Gallery are close by as well. We have bed sheets and a blanket or sleeping bag to provide for guests, but you can also bring your own stuff. 2 guests max. It's not possible for our guests to stay in the flat while no one else is in there (3 people live in it), so we'd expect you to leave the house for the day around 9 AM.
A small living room with a folding sofa in a 2 bedroom flat in the suburb of Prague [in a relatively quiet area], situated not far from a large shopping centre with many shops, cafés, cafeterias & restaurants. A bus stop about 4 min. from the house, 2-3 bus stops to the nearest metro stations & 15-20 min. from there to the city-centre. Feel free to use the kitchen which is a part of the living room, but you will have to buy your own food. Nice walks in large parks close to the house & a holiday area with a wood & a small dam with a possibility for swimming. Our place would be also a great base to explore some interesting sites close to Prague.
My wife and I have an Ikea-style fold-out couch (really becomes a mattress on the floor) in our living room. We have a one-bedroom flat that is completely open (no door between bedroom and living room) so exchanges might work best for us. There's a gorgeous garden with fruit and nut trees. We are three blocks from a station on the city’s best metro line (the one that includes Wenceslas Square, Mala Strana, Old Town and the airport bus stop). And we are one block from a stop on a tram line that goes through town. Wenceslas Square is a 25- or 30-minute walk or a 10-minute subway ride.
I am a single gay American living in Prague 15 years. I have a two bedroom apartment in a suburb of Prague. Public transportation is either by subway or tram and is about 4 blocks away. My apartment is about 90 sq meters (900 sq feet) air conditioned and comfortable. I have a spare room with a day bed (it pulls out into a double). You are welcome to make yourself at home and use the kitchen. There is a convenient store nearby as well as a great Italian restaurant. This is a non-smoking apartment and you should know that I am a nudist. I prefer other nudist guys - sorry ladies.
I live in Prague 2, basically it is central Prague. Opposite to my house is the Charles Square, 5 mins walk from my house is the area of Charles Uni(Faculty of medicine, my faculty:P)and Dancing House. I live with another 3 housemates, they don't like noise so you might need to 'control yourselves' for most of the time:p I don't have pets. I don't smoke and I don't like people smoking, I am sorry:p I am a medical student so will be quite busy, that's why I couldn't accept all requests. Anyway if I accept it and if you come during weekend maybe I can show you around:) A big hug!
