I have a one room flat, so you'll be in pretty close quarters I'm afraid. You can have full use of the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. You'll mostly have to provide your own food, as I can't cook worth a damn, although you're welcome to join me with my microwave dinners if you really want to. It's a 10 min walk to the nearest train station. There's a bus stop close by, but the buses run hourly, so I don't find them useful. I live right near Wollongong university, and my backyard backs onto the local botanical gardens, which are lovely. Day trips to Sydney are possible, although it's a 1 1/2 hour train trip. You can also head south along the train line down to the seaside towns and villages like Shellharbour and Kiama. There's Wollongong itself, of course, which has a nightlife if you're interested.
Bedroom with queen size bed in comfortable 3 bedroom home about 15 mins drive from the city centre. Within walking distance to the lake/parks/bike track, we are approx 15 mins drive from the beach and the bush. The local train station is a few minutes drive away, and can take you to Sydney in less than 90 minutes. Wollongong is a thriving city, with lovely beaches, cafes, bush, art galleries, movie theatres etc. Feel free to use the kitchen or the BBQ, but you will need to purchase your own food. We have a lovely pool and a friendly cat. We like a nice glass of wine after a busy day, but NO DRUGS (including cigarettes) please.
we are a couple who have a double bed in a small room to offer. we live in a 3 bedroom townhouse, 5 mins from the beach, 10 mins to wollongong city. we are close to all public transport, shops etc, and a great base to explore sydney from. ( 1 and a half hours by train).you are welcome to use all facilities, but please clean up after yourself. we both work on a rotating roster, but would be happy to show you around when available. we are both pretty laid back enjoying quite nights at home cooking in the kitchen over a few drinks, but can also let our hair down and have a wild night from time to time.
i have available if needed either a blow up mattress or a nice comfy three seater lounge.depending on how long you need to stay, i might even have a double and single bunk bed. my house is a three bedroom place overlooking Lake Illawarra and a short distance the the beautiful Port Kembla beach. i live ten minutes from town by car, and public transport is a breeze from the top of my street which will easily get you shopping centres, beaches, train stations etc etc. real nice place to relax and explore the beautiful illawarra region of the south coast of new south wales.
spare bed/bedroom in small house about 100m from the beach. in small coastal community about 1.5hrs drive south of sydney. town has all facilities you may need. bus are available and south coast public train station is about 10 minutes drive away. Kitchen and everyrthing. You just have to pay for your own food! A great starting point for those wanting to explore Jervis Bay National Park... Area renound for great beaches, diving, surfing, fishing. Town of Nowra nearby which is home to one of Australia's Naval Bases, Aircraft Museums etc... if that interests you
I am happy to provide a mattress/couch/floor/tent space to travellers. As I'm about to leave Australia for six months in the UK & Europe (back February 2006), I can't give exact details of accomodation. Going on past history, however, I'd say it'd be a shared (with people and pets - dogs outside) house with all mod-cons and close to the beach. Kitchen use will be cool but you have to buy your own food. Wollongong is about 80kms from Sydney (a scenic 1.5hr train trip). It is a large town (city, really) with everything that entails. Public transport is good.
Accomodation is a small room with 2 x bunkbeds. This is a small 2 bedroom apartment with limited facilities - one bathroom, one toilet, one shower. It is situated 15+ minutes from city centre. To access the city centre there is a limited bus service or taxi. There is a major shopping centre within 10 mins walk. Feel free to use the kitchen while you are here, but you will have to buy your own food. Wollongong is 2 hours south of Sydney by train. There are a number of beautiful beaches nearby.
A comfy couch in a nice, secure apartment in Wollongong. We're in easy walking distance to the city centre and the train station, and about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach. Wollongong is about a 1.5 hour train ride south of Sydney and is great if you want a few days of fresh air and nice beaches. You would have free use of the kitchen and basic cooking stuff (e.g. cooking oil and spices) but otherwise you'd have to buy your own food.
there spare ROOM, with MATTRESS in the area of Wollongong its close to TRAIN, and BUSES. It takes about 1hr 40mins from here to Sydney central i live in a 2bedroom unit, top floor The place is about 15mins walk to the beach/Wollongong CBD People are encourange to be independant in this household. **there is also wireless internet write for more details :)
A fold out double bed in the loungeroom and sometimes a spare bed in own bedroom. Comfortable 2 bedroom townhouse 30 seconds from the beach, cafes and restaurants. So much to see and do in my town and outskirts. We are 70 minutes from Sydney city central, on the south coast. Feel free to use all amenities but of course you'll have to buy your own food.
