I live kind of in the boonies of Yorktown, past Seaford in Dandy. I live with my parents and little sister, so as much as I'd like to host everybody that asks, my parents have the last word about who stays. We've got a 3 and a half pound dog named Itsy, 4 extra queen size beds, and don't smoke. Alcoholism is terrible in my dad's line of the family, so please don't bring any over. His dad died before I was born from mouth cancer (which is 16 times more likely for heavy drinkers and smokers like his father). My dad hates the stuff. Plenty of watersports around my parents' place. We've got boats, kayaks, and jet skis. If ya use one of our boats that uses gas, we'd appreciate it if ya get a little gas to refill it to wherever it was before ya went on it. We've got a pool, hot tub, docks that are great for night fishing, crab pots, oyster cages, and clams if you like fresh seafood. We've also got a volleyball court. There's not much public transportation around here (unless you catch a ride to Yorktown Beach, and from there take trolleys), but if my parents are cool with somebody coming, I'd be happy to give some rides if I'm not working or otherwise busy. I usually try to get in bed before midnight, but my dad is commonly up past then working. While you're staying with us, we'll keep the door unlocked, so you can get in as late as you'd like. Max stay would probably be 1 night, although there's a chance we could host for a few nights. If you're in the area and want to get out on the water, even if you're not staying with us, let me know. We've got the proper wet suits to jet ski in the dead of winter, so this applies for boats etc. year round.
Guest room with new queen mattress, shared full bathroom, on a cul-de-sac across from soccer fields. We are close to the Chesapeake Bay, the Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg, and the Patrick Henry airport. Within 3 hours of Wash DC, 90min from Richmond, 45 min from Virginia Beach, and within 20 min is the Busch Gardens amusement park, or golfing, canoeing, fishing, outlet malls, early American history, boating, swimming, etc. There are loads of places to shop and eat, but not public transportation. We also can not host smokers or partyers. Would gladly provide some transportation if possible, and use of our kitchen
Medium room with a comfortable single (twin) bed in my condo on the second floor of shared building (total of 16 units - 8 sections on 2 floors). Neighborhood is nice area and has a 3 mile walking path for exercise or to go to nearby restaurants. Not within walking distance of local attractions. Yorktown VA historic area is 20 minute car ride away. Williamsburg VA historic area is 30 minute car ride. Feel free to use kitchen or watch TV (I do not have paid television service, just Netflix or YouTube).
Currently I only have a spare bed when I'm not in it. I hope to have a house soon so this can change... sorry.
